NCAA Basketball Odds Overview
NCAA basketball odds have come out with Kansas a -13 favorite like at Heritage -105. For one of my NCAA picks, I'm going to back the Jayhawks to put a thumping on the Cowboys in this revenge matchup. Although Oklahoma State likes to play slow, they still give up quite a few points and Kansas at home can really be difficult to stop at times. Look for Kansas to win this game well into double digits.

Oklahoma State Cowboys
Oklahoma State is averaging 69 points per game while shooting 43.3% from the field, and allowing 65.9 points per game on 39.8% shooting from the field. On the season, they are respectable 13-9-1 against the spread overall, and 7-5 on the road. Last time they played Kansas they played arguably their best game of the year and everything went perfectly for them. While the Jayhawks shot 42% from the field and under 30% from distance, Oklahoma State shot 50% from the field and 52.4% from beyond the arc. I don't expect that to happen again, in fact, I expect the exact opposite to happen. Offensively, the Cowboys are one of the worst shooting teams in the Big 12 and rank in the bottom part of the country shooting 33.2% from beyond the arc. They really try to control the pace averaging just 54.2 field goal attempts per game, which also ranks them among the bottom of NCAA basketball. Defensively, they have some nice statistics, but I believe that is mostly due to the pace they try to control. They rank around the top 30 in the country in opponent field goals made per game, opponent overall shooting percentage, and opponent shooting efficiency. They might be able to do that against the lesser teams in the league, or at home, but on the road tonight against a Kansas team that is rolling and looking at revenge, that will be difficult for them to accomplish.

Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas is averaging 81 points per game while shooting 48.1% from the field, and allowing 68.7 points per game on 40.6% shooting from the field. On the season, they are 15-8 overall against the spread, and 7-4 at home. The main question tonight is will they have a letdown game after their huge road when in Oklahoma, well, I'm going to say no they won't. Since their game against Kentucky, Kansas seems to have turned a corner and it doesn't seem like they will be looking back. After losing to this same team by almost 20 points, there is a reason why odds makers have made this line a pretty good chunk of change now favoring them at home. The Jayhawks rank offensively 17th, 18th, and 20th in the country in shooting efficiency, overall shooting percentage, and effective field-goal percentage respectively. They also rank seventh in the country shooting 41.6% from beyond the arc. Defensively, they are very good at home and rank in the better part of the country in overall and two point shooting percentage. They haven't defended from beyond the arc that would be worth to mention, however, they just held the number one three-point shooting team in the country to just over 30% from distance.

This line is a solid double digits for a reason, but that is not going to sway me off by backing the big home favorite. With the realization of another Big 12 championship now within their grasp, I look for the Jayhawks to step up their play every single game from here on out. Oklahoma State is just going to be another steppingstone for a Kansas team that is rejuvenated. For one of your NCAA basketball picks, I recommend backing Kansas minus the points to come out and get some serious revenge.
