The Florida State Seminoles have logged a 0-5 spread record in their last five games, including three losing tickets in the span’s home dates.

Saturday ACC Betting:  No. 5 Duke visits Florida State

Saturday’s NCAAB betting has Leonard Hamilton’s squad hosting the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils, who are 0-3 ATS in their latest trio of road affairs. Which of these ACC rivals will end its cold streak in this early tip at Tallahassee?

Blue Devils, Plumlee edge out Wake

Duke shot 51.9 percent from the floor in Wednesday’s 75-70 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, who held on to cash as a 13 ½-point home dog for my followers. Blue Devils forward Mason Plumlee piled in a season-high 32 points, knocking down 9-of-11 buckets en route to notching nine boards.

Duke’s Quinn Cook and Seth Curry united for 33 points, with Cook adding a team-high seven assists. The Blue Devils sank 17-of-22 free throws, while outrebounding Wake Forest, 27-25.

The battle’s combined 145 points jumped above the closing ‘total’ of 144 ½ by a ‘hook,’ stretching the OVER to 5-0 in the Blue Devils’ last five games. Plumlee added two of his side’s five steals and a pair of blocks, while Duke was held to a 2-for-14 night from three-point land.

Seminoles, Snaer top Maryland at home

Florida State rallied from behind in Wednesday’s 73-71 victory as a three-point home favorite against the Maryland Terrapins. Seminoles guard Michael Snaer hit a pair of go-ahead buckets to cap off a 19-9 run for FSU in the duel’s final seven minutes.

Snaer finished with a team-high 19 points, drilling 3-of-6 buckets beyond the arc. Florida State’s Okaro White came away with a perfect 10-for-10 night at the foul line, while uniting with Snaer for three assists each.

The contest’s combined 144 points leaped above the ‘total’ of 133, ending a 5-0 run for the UNDER from the FSU’s prior five games. Seminoles center Kiel Turpin logged three of his squad’s five blocks, while he and his mates were outrebounded, 30-19.

Back the Blue Devils as road ‘chalk’ opened Duke as a 6 ½-point NCAAB odds favorite on the road, with early betting on Florida State dropping the number a ‘hook’ to six. The ‘total’ was first set at 143, remaining unchanged after initially mixed wagers.

I am adding Duke to my sports picks for Saturday’s basketball card, laying the points and looking for Plumlee and Co. to come away with a sizable triumph. While I faded the Blue Devils in their spot against Wake Forest, Mike Krzyzewski’s crew steps into Tallahassee with a lower premium worth backing

Plumlee leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in boards (11.1 RPG), while he and mate Seth Curry (16 PPG) rank among the group’s top four in scoring. Duke’s Quinn Cook has logged 6.3 APG and 1.8 SPG, putting the sophomore in the ACC’s top trio for both marks.

Duke also has a revenge factor after last March’s 62-59 defeat to Florida State, which ousted the Blue Devils from the ACC postseason tourney. The affair came one month after FSU dropped last February’s home affair with Duke, logging a 74-66 loss as a one-point favorite.

Florida State failed to cash in its sole spot as a home dog this year, thrashed in a 72-47 defeat to the Florida Gators. Look for the Seminoles to be overvalued again here, with Duke running up the points for a cashed ticket.
