The Stanford Cardinal will try to avoid their first three-game home losing streak since 2010, as they prepare to host the Colorado Buffaloes at Maples Pavilion Wednesday night.

Let’s take a closer look at the betting line for this Pac-12 Conference affair that tips off at  11:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

Playing solid basketball

Colorado has won seven of its last 10 games, including a 60-50 victory over the Utah Utes as 12-point home favorites six days ago, while going UNDER the posted total for the ninth time in that span.

The Buffaloes are still just 10-10 against the spread (ATS) in February the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 12-5 in that situation.

Big game

Stanford can even up its conference record to 8-8 with a victory in this spot, as it tries to bounce back from a 77-66 setback to the Oregon Ducks as five-point road underdogs last Saturday, while going OVER the total for a third consecutive affair.

The Cardinal are 8-10 straight up and 7-11 ATS versus teams with a winning home record, as they attempt to avoid their first three-game home losing streak since 2010.

Last meeting

The Buffaloes earned a 75-54 victory over the Cardinal as four-point home favorites on Jan. 24, which was a bit surprising due to dropping both meetings by 20-plus points during the 2011-12 campaign.

Colorado shot 52.6 percent from the field in that affair, while junior forward Andre Roberson posted a double-double, as he finished with 12 points and a career-high 20 rebounds.

Watch the line closely

Handicappers definitely need to monitor this number throughout the day on the SBR's NCAA Basketball odds page, considering the Buffaloes are 0-4 SUATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 6 points, while the Cardinal are 5-3 SUATS when favored within that point range in front of their home fans.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Cardinal as one of their college basketball picks Wednesday, as the Buffaloes haven’t won three consecutive conference road games since 2001.

Stanford has the ability to cover this number late on the charity stripe if necessary, especially if Colorado freshman forward Josh Scott (concussion) is unable to go.
