NCAAB Picks: PAC-12 Clash Between Colorado And Oregon
We have a good one set to go tonight in the PAC-12 conference, as the Colorado Buffaloes (14-7 SU, 4-5 ATS away) and Oregon Ducks (18-4 SU, 6-6-1 ATS home) will settle their differences on the court. While both schools will be gunning for a victory, the question for us bettors remains, who will cover the lines and pull through for our College Basketball picks tonight?
This contest is set to tip off at 10:00 PM EST from the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon and can be seen live on television, with broadcast coverage provided by ESPNU.
As it stands right now, the College Basketball odds favor the home team in this one by -6 points, which should come to the surprise of no one considering Oregon’s history of success against Colorado when facing them at home.
The total is coming in at just 136 ½ points, which makes sense, given how both schools have been keeping their recent games under the number.
The Buffaloes feature an offense that shoots 46% from the field and scores and average of 70.5 points per game. On the defensive end, Colorado is holding opponents to 65 points per contest.
Colorado has some nice numbers against the spread. They are 18-8 ATS in their last 26 matchups that follow a game where they failed to cover the point spread and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 when going up against a team with a winning record.
However, I am not sure any of their recent success will matter tonight, as Colorado hasn’t won in Oregon in 58 years.
The Ducks, who are still leading the Pac-12 Conference, will look to snap their two-game losing streak this evening against Colorado, which looks good, as they have dominated the Buffaloes over the years when hosting them at the Matthew Knight Arena. This two-game slide is actually the first for Oregon since the 2010/11season.
Oregon is a team that is usually pretty good on offense, averaging 74.1 per game, though during their recent two-game skid they scored just 106 points combined.
However, the Ducks are 0-4 ATS in their last four games versus conference opponents and 1-5 ATS in their last six following a game where they failed to cover the point spread.
Both teams have been keeping their games under the total as of late. In fact, Colorado is under in their last four games played on the road, while Oregon is under in six of their last seven games played at home.
Taking the Ducks at -6 points seems to be a no-brainer in this spot, however, what is making me second guess myself is the fact that 81.3% of the betting public has also decided to back the ducks with their sports picks. I do believe that the pubic is right, and laying the chalk with Oregon will be sure to punch winning tickets at the betting window tonight.
