The first round of the ACC Tournament tips off tonight, and although the big boys got their first round byes, we still have four pretty valuable games on this evening. Where are we looking to place our NCAA Basketball picks, and which games are we looking at?

Let’s role through the late matchup between the Clemson Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles, and see if we can find some college basketball betting value in these two teams.

Clemson comes into this game as the 12th seed and the Seminoles the 6th, but despite the big discrepancy in seed, the Noles are only a -2 favorite in the eyes of the College Basketball odds makers. With a spread so close, and this being tournament time, things can go either way, not to mention this season in NCAAB has been insane, I’m going with the total this evening, which currently sits at 119 ½.

I love the over in this late game for a few reasons. Clemson is already not a bad scoring team this season, and neither is Florida State. Both teams average well over 60 points per game this season scored this season, but where they differ is their defense. The Noles give up around 68 oppg this season, while the Tigers are one of the best defensive units in the country when it comes to their opponents’ points. The Tigers rank 30th in the nation in points allowed.

However, I still think that the Over offers us the best value for our sports picks tonight. FSU should be able to score some against the Tigers. The Noles scored 71 and 60 points respectfully in their two games against Clemson this season, winning both times. With the tournament style atmosphere in tonight’s game, I think these two teams will focus more on offense than defense. The over has cashed in four of the last six meetings between these two teams, including one out of two this season. Take the over.

My College Basketball Pick: OVER 119 ½
