The Cincinnati Bearcats have been one of the most impressive teams early on this college basketball betting season but now they face their toughest test on the road at Bowling Green.

Momentum
The Bearcats have looked great to start the season, as they’ve easily won both contests and covered the NCAA Basketball odds both times. They’ve scored 97 points in each of their first two games and are lighting up the scoreboard with ease. They have six players scoring in double figures right now and eight that are averaging 8.5 points per game or more. Octavius Ellis has been one of the key standouts for the Bearcats and as a result, he was named to the AAC honor roll this week. He averaged a team-best 13.5 points over their opening two contests. Coreontae DeBerry has been another key cog on this team as he scored 12 points and collected eight rebounds against Robert Morris. He’s shed 20 points in the offseason and looked much more effective.

As for Bowling Green, they started the year off with a win over New Orleans. Rasheed Worrell was their main man in that contest as he scored 15 points and had eight rebounds. This is a Bowling Green team that is rebuilding on the fly as they only bring back three players who played more than 200 minutes last season. Transfer Wesley Alcegaire had 14 and Antwon Lillard had 13 for Bowling Green in their opener.

Home-Away Trends
So far this season, both of Cincinnati’s wins have come at home. They’ve won both of those contests by at least 25 points. Clearly, Western Carolina and Robert Morris are a step down from Bowling Green, but Cincy has looked very impressive. Cincinnati has won seven of the eight meetings between the teams all-time and are 3-0 on the road at Bowling Green. The Bearcats were just 6-5 on the road last season compared to being a much more effective 15-3 at home.

As for Bowling Green, they have won their only home game this season. They were 11-6 at home compared to 10-5 on the road, so that indicates that it’s not as big of a factor as it is for Cincinnati.

Injuries
Both teams are healthy to start the season, so this shouldn’t be a factor in this spot.

What’s The Pick?
The Bearcats have looked great in their games so far this season and I’m going to roll with them again. They’ve been stomping everything in their path and while Bowling Green is going to be a step up in competition – especially on the road – this is a very inexperienced Falcons team that’s still finding their feet. The Bearcats return a ton of talent and experience while the Falcons have just three returning starters. Beyond that, the Bearcats have already shown that they’re clicking and playing with fire thanks to coach Mick Cronin’s return. Take Cincinnati with your NCAA Basketball picks in this spot.
