The Detroit Titans (15-13) visit Athletics Center O'rena to face the Oakland Golden Grizzlies (20-10). Oakland is favored by 9 points on the NCAA Basketball odds board and the total has been set at 184.

Detroit Titans
The Detroit Titans saw their three-game winning streak come to an end after last Sunday's tough 90-74 loss at Valparaiso. Paris Bass had his sixth straight 20-point game after finishing with 28 points and seven rebounds. Detroit shot 52.1 percent but they took 10 fewer shots than Valparaiso.

Detroit scores 83.4 points per game (10th in the nation) and shoots 46.6 percent from the floor and 38.7 percent from three-point range and they pull down 37.7 rebounds per game. The Titans allow 82.1 points per game and their opponents shoot 45.6 percent overall and 34.7 percent from beyond the arc and pull down 33.0 rebounds per game. Paris Bass leads the team with 18.7 points and 7.9 rebounds, Anton Wilson averages 14.4 points and a team-best 1.4 steals and Chris Jenkins adds 12.2 points and 5.7 rebounds.

Oakland Golden Grizzlies
The Oakland Golden Grizzlies have won three of their last four games, including last Sunday's 74-63 victory against Illinois-Chicago. Kahlil Felder led the way with 20 points and 10 assists and Jalen Hayes finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Oakland limited Illinois-Chicago to just 35.8 percent shooting.

The Golden Grizzlies average 86.6 points per game (second in the nation) on 45.6 percent shooting overall and 39.6 percent shooting from three-point range and they pull down 40.0 rebounds per game. Defensively, Oakland allows 79.0 points per game and their opponents shoot 43.1 percent from the floor and 35.2 percent from beyond the arc and grab 34.0 rebounds per game. Kahlil Felder leads the team with 24.3 points, 9.2 assists and 2.1 steals, Jalen Hayes averages 13.9 points and 8.7 rebounds and Percy Gibson adds 11.3 points and 6.4 rebounds.

Betting Trends
The Over is 8-5 in Detroit's road games, 8-6 when Detroit is an underdog, 2-0 in a road game where the total is greater or equal than 170 and 10-8 when Detroit is playing against a team with a winning record.

The Over is 15-10 in Oakland's lined games, 6-1 when the total is greater than or equal than 170, 6-3 in Oakland's home games and 9-6 when Oakland is playing against a team with a winning record.

Final Analysis
Oakland is a 9-point favorite on the NCAA Basketball odds board and the total has been set at 184. These two teams met on January 16 and the Golden Grizzlies beat the Titans 86-82. Kahlil Felder finished with 22 points, nine assists and six rebounds for Oakland while Jaleel Hogan and Paris Bass scored 20 points apiece for Detroit. The Golden Grizzlies trailed by as many as eight points in the first half but went on a 17-10 run in the final five minutes of the period to finish with a 43-40 lead at halftime and they never looked back.

All signs point to a high-scoring game, both offenses are ranked in the top 10 in the nation and the betting trends suggest backing the Over, but the total was set at 179 in the last meeting between these teams and it hit Under as they combined for 168 points. Both teams will put up a lot of points but this total is too high. I like Detroit and Oakland to go 'under' 184 as one of my NCAA Basketball picks.
