Saturday couldn't be set up any better for the unbeaten Creighton Blue Jays. The Blue Jays have been dominant thus far this season, thus earning the a ranking of #10 in the nation and tonight they face an Oral Roberts Golden Eagles team that won't know what hit them. Creighton is the heavy betting favorite and desevedly so.

Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (2-7) vs #10 Creighton Blue Jays (10-0)

Total Mismatch

Oral Roberts, who have lost 7 out of their last 8 games, have played so poorly this season that it took them a matchup against a NAIA squad in the John Brown Golden Eagles to pick up a victory. While a win is a win, it's all about who a team play's and Creighton is at a much higher level than any NAIA squad and this game could get ugly.

Rested and Battle-Tested

Where the Blue Jays are concerned, they haven't played in 8 days, but I don't think that will affect them in an adverse manner here. This is a team that's beaten an AP Top 25 team in the Wisconsin Badgers earlier in the season as Creighton scored 79 points off of a good Badgers defense. Creighton also has a victory over the surging North Carolina State Wolfpack on their resume and the Blue Jays lit up the Wolfpack for 112 points in an 18 point win.

This team doesn't have a "hollow record" and is battle-tested. A team must never let their guard down, but there's simply no chance of Oral Roberts being competitive in this game as Creighton has taken every opponent seriously.

Swisher and Disher

The Blue Jays will look for instant offense from leading scorer Marcus Foster. In their last game, Creighton gave Longwood such a beating that Foster only played 15 minutes and still managed to contribute with 16 points

Foster is a 40% shooter from beyond the arc and looks for him to play well against inferior competition. Another player to keep an eye on is point guard Maurice Watson Jr. Watson Jr. is one of the best ball distributors in the country, averaging 9.1 assists to go along with 13.1 points and 1.6 steals per game. Although small in stature, this is the type of player that can land a spot on an NBA team as a role player. We shall see, but in the meanwhile, look for the combination of Foster and Watson Jr. to control this game and look forward to going deep into the month of March.

Where Oral Roberts is concerned, they'll be looking for leading scorer Kris Martin to have a big game against the Blue Jays. Martin is coming off of a 35 point effort in a loss to Missouri State. Creighton is the pick here and the odds are quite reasonable.
