A nice 2-0-1 ATS record on my top NCAA picks for last Saturday, hitting on Xavier (-2.5) and Florida State (+9 and upset Virginia outright) and pushing on Gonzaga-Pacific (+20). Here are three games I recommend this Saturday. Check out my separate story on Oklahoma State-Baylor.

Oklahoma At Kansas State (-8)

This Big 12 game tips off at 3 p.m. ET. Of course Oklahoma was a Final Four team last year behind All-American guard Buddy Hield, who was one of the nation's top scorers and certainly will go down as one of the best players in OU history. He's now with the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans, and boy is Hield missed. The Sooners are 6-7 overall, 0-2 in the Big 12 and on a five-game losing streak. The past three they have played without their second-best guy from last year, senior guard Jordan Woodard. He has been dealing with a leg injury and didn't even travel to Fort Worth on Tuesday when Oklahoma lost 60-57 at TCU. Woodard leads OU in scoring (17.6 ppg) and assists (3.6 apg) and is tied for second in rebounds (5.2 rpg). The Sooners have averaged just 59 points in the three games they’ve played without Woodard, who had started 115 consecutive games dating back to the start 2013-14 season before this. He remains without a timetable. K-State had  a seven-game winning streak end Tuesday night in a thrilling 90-88 loss at No. 3 Kansas. But the Wildcats got totally hosed as on the game-winning layup at the buzzer, the Jayhawks' Svi Mykhailiuk took about six steps and clearly traveled. He literally stopped dribbling around midcourt. Blatant. But do you think an official is going to waive off a winning basket for KU in Lawrence? No chance. Traveling calls aren't covered by instant replay. Will K-State be flat here off that loss or fired up after playing so well and getting robbed? The Wildcats are 4-0 ATS at home in the past four in this series.

No. 15 Oregon At Washington State (+11)

Pac-12 game tips at 7 p.m. ET. With all due respect to Baylor or Gonzaga, is any team playing better than the Ducks right now? Last week, they beat unbeaten and ranked UCLA and USC. But then Oregon is incredibly good at home. A bit of a letdown was to be expected on Wednesday at Washington, but Oregon rolled over its rival 83-61 for a 12th straight victory. Oregon was 14-for-26 on 3-pointers, led by Tyler Dorsey going 8-for-12 from long range for 28 points. The 3-pointers were a career high for Dorsey -- most for any Oregon player since 2006 -- and the points were one shy of his best. The one negative from the win was junior forward Jordan Bell leaving with a knee injury. At first, it was feared to be a torn ACL, but it wasn't and Bell thinks he will play Saturday. He averages 10.4 points and 8.3 rebounds. Washington State has won four straight following a 75-62 victory over Oregon State on Wednesday. Josh Hawkinson scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Wazzu. It was his 49th career double-double, four away from the school record. He also moved into third on the school's all-time rebounding list.  The home team is 9-4 ATS in the past 13 in the series.

NC State At No. 14 North Carolina (-13)

ACC game at 8 p.m. ET. This year's freshman class is absolutely loaded. Perhaps one of them lingering a bit in the shadows has been NC State point guard Dennis Smith Jr. That should no longer be the case. In Wednesday's 104-78 wipeout of No. 21 Virginia Tech, Smith Jr. had the second triple-double in school history with 27 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds. NC State has had some amazing players so that's impressive -- the only other triple-double was by Julius Hodge in 2002. The Wolfpack hit 64.1 percent of their shots against a good Hokies defense. Smith's game overshadowed what teammate Abdul-Malik Abu did as he was 9-for-9 from the field for 20 points to go with 11 rebounds. North Carolina is lucky to not be 0-2 in ACC play. It was soundly beaten in its conference opener at Georgia Tech last Saturday and then barely escaped at Clemson on Tuesday, 89-86 in overtime. Joel Berry II had career highs with 31 points and seven 3-pointers in a whopping 41 minutes. Berry had scored only 25 points in the previous three games. Kennedy Meeks had 14 points and tied his career best with 16 rebounds. The Heels were 2-0 vs. NC State last year, winning each by 12. The Wolfpack did win in Chapel Hill in the 2014-15 season. Before that, NC State hadn't won there since 2003. UNC is 10-3 ATS in its past 13 at home overall.
