There isn't much to choose from in terms of tonight's college basketball betting action, but we've come up with two picks that appear to hold solid value.

Teams Building Steam Heading in to March: NCAAB Betting

North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Florida State Seminoles

The surging Tar Heels will test their mettle on the road when they travel south to do battle with the Seminoles.

At the moment, the college basketball odds board shows Florida State favored by a point at home, with the total holding steady at 146. On the year the Seminoles are 15-10 SU and 13-10 ATS with North Carolina at 17-7 SU and 13-11 ATS.

No question about it, the Tar Heels are playing their best basketball of the season. They've reeled off six consecutive wins, beating Pittsburgh, Maryland, NC State and Clemson at home and Notre Dame and Georgia Tech on the road. In the process, North Carolina's conference record has gone from 1-4 to 7-4.

They'll go for a seventh straight win in Tallahassee, with the Seminoles hopeful to put together their second win in a row.

Florida State has not enjoyed the best of campaigns in the ACC, going 6-7 so far. A lot of the troubles have come recently, as the Seminoles have lost five of their last seven ahead of tonight's tipoff. Their only wins in that span came at home over Virginia Tech and on the road at Wake Forest.

Despite their struggles, we believe Florida State is worth taking as one of our college basketball picks tonight. We know the Seminoles are almost always going to bring a good effort defensively and this spot sets up nicely for them.

A lot of people will be on North Carolina because of this winning streak, but this appears to be a good letdown situation to take advantage of. We don't think the Tar Heels will match their intensity from the win over the Panthers, so we'll back Florida State on this occasion.

College Basketball Pick: Florida State Seminoles -1

Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. Baylor Bears

Here we have a matchup between two of the most disappointing teams in not only the Big 12 but the entire country.

The talent level is extremely high on both sides, but the results just haven't been there, especially for Oklahoma State as of late. That's why the Bears are the four-point favorites on their home floor.

The Cowboys have now lost six consecutive games, falling to Oklahoma, Iowa State and Baylor at home and Texas, Oklahoma and Texas Tech on the road. They haven't covered a spread for backers in seven straight games, dropping their overall ATS mark to 8-13 ATS.

Obviously not having Marcus Smart out there has hurt, but Oklahoma State has to do without him once again as he serves the last game of his suspension this evening. Smart had a 15/7/6 line in the first meeting of the season with Baylor.

The Bears have had their fair share of disappointing moments this season as well, but they've looked better recently in their two victories in a row. They thrashed TCU by 33 and then outlasted Kansas State in overtime this past weekend.

When it comes to making our final selections though, we don't have too much faith in either one of these inconsistent teams. So, let's venture towards a total play and back the OVER instead. Defense has been nothing more than an afterthought with these teams lately, as Oklahoma State has surrendered 80.7 PPG over their last five and Baylor has given up 71.6 PPG.

We're on the lookout for another high-scoring game, with the OVER our recommendation for the night.

College Basketball Pick: OVER 143
