Miami, FLA (-15) vs. Boston College 9:00 ET
For that reason, do not expect the Hurricanes to overlook the Eagles today. Not that they would anyway, as a pair of recent losses at Clemson and Virginia have them reeling.

Boston College Eagles
Boston College is clearly in rebuilding phase under 2nd year HC Christian, the former head man at Kent St., TCU and Ohio. Last year, his Eagles went 13-19 SU, but just 4-14 in the ACC. With just 1 returning starter, they were ticketed for last place in the conference. Results to date have not implied anything else! After a 7-6 SU, 3-5 ATS non-con season, with no distinguished wins, the Eagles have opened 0-4 SU ATS in ACC play. That includes losses by 17 and 28 on this floor to Duke and Notre Dame respectively, followed by losses of 22 at Syracuse and 23 at Pitt this past Saturday. In those games, BC has been outscored by an average of 54-77. Their Conte Forum home court has not been much of an ally, as they are 19-21 SU at home L2+Y.

Miami (FL) Hurricanes
?Enter Miami, FL, who after their (72-59) home win against Florida St. on January 9th, had an 8-game winning streak and stood 13-1 SU, 9-3 ATS for the season with a 2-0 SU ATS mark in ACC play. But the bottom fell out when they visited defensive oriented, slow down teams, Virginia and Clemson. It resulted in losses of 8 and 11 points respectively. Every Monday I make a list of winning teams, who enter the week off consecutive losses. Working hand in glove with that list is my weekly survey of the conference standings to see which teams’ conference records are underachieving based on my subjective interpretation of what the standings should be. LAST WEEK, THESE TEAMS WERE 14-3 ATS. This week, Miami, FL, along with coming off those 2 losses, is an underachieving ACC team, who is playing just .500 ball in league action. The question is whether they are capable of the big bounce? If you read my MondayArticle on the 2016 BRATS of College Basketball, you know they certainly are! If you followed these BRATS on Tuesday, January 19th, they cashed a mark of 6-3 ATS. Miami, FL is just such a team headlined by an offense that averages 80/49/37/76 with positives in rebounds, assists and TOs.

In bounce back mode off 2 losses, underachieving in the standings, being forewarned by a pair of close victories last year and with the capabilities of their BRAT stats, I invite you to put the NCAA basketball odds in your favor and join me in my NCAA basketball pick on Miami, Florida. Worried about laying big road chalk? Don’t! The rule changes this year have made Big Dogs much less profitable than in years gone by and a quick look at the results from Tuesday, show that road chalk went 6-2 ATS.
