The Badgers are on a formidable run right now, but they could face a tough challenge tonight on the road against Maryland. Who should we add to our college basketball picks for Tuesday?

Odds Overview
Even though the Terrapins have enjoyed a perfectly fine season and will also have the advantage of being at home, they're still the clear-cut underdogs for tonight's game.

As of now, Maryland is getting six points from odd smakers, with some NCAA basketball odds offering up a spread of six and a half for those that like the home team in this spot. Meanwhile, the O/U is trading at 129.5.

Maryland Terrapins
The move to the Big Ten seems to be working out well for the Terrapins, at least when it comes to basketball. This progam has really taken off and has impressed a lot this season - they're at 22-5 overall and have managed a nice 10-4 conference mark, which puts them in a tie for second behind only tonight's opponent, Wisconsin.

Over the past couple weeks, Maryland has recorded a three-game winning streak which has seen them beat Penn State, Indiana and Nebraska. The Terrapins were most recently in action last Thursday in a narrow four-point win over the Cornhuskers. Fab freshman Melo Trimble had a fantastic showing, going off for 26 points, six rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes of action. As a team, the Terrapins shot 46.5 percent from the floor overall.

With Trimble seemingly back to full strength, Maryland looks to be a serious contender heading into March. Having already beaten the likes of Iowa State and Michigan State (twice), the Terrapins have shown they can hang with the big boys. Another statement win, this time over the current Big Ten leaders, would be huge for confidence ahead of tournament time. Trimble, Dez Wells and Jake Layman have bee the big three for Maryland and will need to play well for the home team to have a shot tonight.

Wisconsin Badgers
There seems to be no stopping the Badgers. Ever since a surprise road loss to Rutgers, Wisconsin has been on a mission - they've recorded 10 consecutive wins, beating teams like Iowa and Michigan on their way, and now own a 13-1 conference record. The Badgers are 25-2 overall coming into this evening's difficult obstacle against Maryland.

A few days ago Wisconsin held its nerve in a 63-53 win over Minnesota. Frank Kaminsky kept up his stellar play with a game-high 21 points, but it was sophomore Bronson Koenig's career-high 17 points that were the difference maker in the win over the Golden Gophers. You'd now have to go all the way back to January 11th to find the last time the Badgers picked up a loss.

It's a winning streak that Wisconsin will try to preserve out on the road. The Badgers haven't been quite as dominant away from home, getting pushed to their limits here and there against teams less talented the Terrapins, so don't think this is going to be a walk in the park for Bo Ryan's team.

NCAA Basketball Pick
It's never an easy thing to fade the Badgers, especially when they've been playing so well, but we simply think this line is too high.

After all, the Terrapins have been playing good basketball themselves, and they haven't lost once on their home floor in conference play so far. You know the crowd's going to get up for this one, and home-court advantage has proven to be a major factor in terms of handicapping. Just look at last night's win for Kansas State over Kansas for reference.

With that said, we think Maryland is the right side here. We think the Terrapins will give Bo Ryan's team a run for their money, and therefore we'll be adding the Terrapins as the college basketball pick.
