Still yet to have lost a game all season long, the Wildcats only have two more regular season games remaining in their quest for a perfect record. The NCAA basketball odds are on Kentucky's side for tonight's tricky road test at Georgia.
The Bulldogs are not a bad team or anything, but this is Kentucky we're talking about. The Wildcats have been the country's best team and it hasn't even been close, so we can't fault odds makers for pricing them out as double-digit favorites for tonight's game versus Georgia on the road.
Looking at the NCAA basketball odds, we see Kentucky favored by 10 points at most of the major sportsbooks. The O/U is listed at 126.5 points.
Whenever you come up against a giant like Kentucky, you're going to want to be feeling confident in your game. Well, the Bulldogs have managed to play well recently, picking up three straight wins over Alabama, Ole Miss and then Missouri, with the latest over the Tigers coming in blowout fashion.
Following the win streak, Georgia is now sitting at 19-9 overall and 10-6 in conference play. The Bulldogs raced out to a 41-23 halftime lead over Missouri over the weekend and never looked back, with Nemanja Djurisic leading the way with 14 points, five rebounds and three assists. Cameron Forte added 10 points and six boards off the bench in the dominant win.
One of the better rebounding teams in the country (#24), the Bulldogs should be able to hold their own against the scary length and athleticism of Kentucky. The likes of Marcus Thornton, Kenny Gaines and Charles Mann among others are really going to have to play lights out basketball to give Georgia a chance tonight. The good news? The Bulldogs showed good fight in their first meeting with Kentucky, so they at least know they can hang with these guys.
What else is there to say about the undefeated Wildcats that hasn't been said? They continue to show up each and every game and dominate, and can now be found at 29-0 overall and 16-0 in the SEC. Each of their last five games have come by at least 17 points, so they haven't just been squeaking out wins either. They've been incredibly dominant.
The latest victim was #18 Arkansas, who just couldn't keep up in a 84-67 loss. Kentucky shot 48.3 percent from the floor overall and got double-digit scoring from four different players. Trey Lyles and Andrew Harrison both scored 18 points in the victory, while Willie Cauley-Stein had seven points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and four blocks.
It's just been business as usual Kentucky and now there are only two obstacles standing in the way of a perfect regular season for the Wildcats. They'll take on Georgia on the road tonight and then close things out with a home date against Florida. Can they take care of business and make history in the process?

We're going against Kentucky tonight? Are we crazy?
Perhaps, but the Bulldogs actually hung around with the mighty Wildcats inside Rupp Arena, so what's to say they can't do the same at home? You know the crowd is going to be rowdy for this game - this is essentially Georgia's national championship game tonight and the sheer level of intensity should help the Bulldogs stay competitive.
Oh, and Georgia's actually a pretty good basketball team too. There's that. The Bulldogs are going to need the performance of a lifetime on both ends of the court to get a straight up win, and that seems highly unlikely, but we do think the Wildcats will have more trouble than normal in recording a win tonight. With that in mind, we'll be backing Georgia with our college basketball picks tonight.
