The undefeated #15 SMU Mustangs (14-0) have really made a statement  this season as they've busted their way into the AP Top 25 and more importantly, haven't lost a single game this season. Today, the Mustangs look at their schedule and have to feel good about themselves as they are a huge 20 point betting favorite and face a UCF Knights (8-5) team which is respectable, but a team that SMU should handle. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. EST at the Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Texas. This game can be seen on ESPNU. According to 5Dimes Sportsbook NCAA basketball odds board, the Mustangs are a huge 20 point favorite and the total for the game is listed at 143.5. This tells me that odds makers have a tremendous amount of respect for SMU. Although the "Stangs" are undefeated, their schedule has been somewhat watered down a bit.

Lack of Depth and Heavy Minute
The Mustangs offense really only goes 7 players deep and this can be a concern if they face the Kentucky's of the world down the road, but for now, everything has been working well as every starter is a contributor.

Don't Miss Our Top NCAA Basketball Picks For Sunday

Moore & Moore
The Mustangs are led by the combination of Nic Moore and Ben Moore and they're not twins as Ben Moore is almost a foot taller than the 5 foot 9 leading scorer of this squad.

Nic Moore will never be an NBA player, but he has had a very solid career with SMU as he's in his senior season. This is a player that can be relied upon to hit the 3-ball, dish out assists, play top-notch defense, and even snatch a few rebounds.

For the season, Moore is averaging 15.8 points, 4.8 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and is shooting 41.8% from 3 -point range. He is logging a ton of minutes and is the key reason why the Mustangs are currently undefeated. Moore is not afraid to shoot the basketball and has been inaccurate at times, but a team needs a player like this; one that's not afraid to grasp the big moment. Look for Nic Moore to come up big in this spot.

Mr. Double-Double?
While Moore is small in stature, he has the support of Ben Moore (12.3 points, 8.2 rebounds) and Jordan Tolbert (12.1 points, 9.9 rebounds) to protect the glass as SMU likes to get out to the break and Nic Moore will find the open man.

Currently, Tolbert has been cold as of late as he's averaging 7 points and 7.3 rebounds in his last 4 games and is really not looking for his shot. Things will only get tougher as teams look to knock this undefeated team off and the Mustang lack depth as it is. Jordan Tolbert must look for his offense as this is the perfect opponent to showcase his skills against. I don't know what to expect out of him, but he'll at least provide a solid effort.

A.J. Davis
As for UCF, they're the opposite of the SMU Mustangs as they're a very deep club. One thing that they can say is that they can play at the Big Dance as SMU is banned.

Even though A.J. Davis (13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists) has the complete game, SMU has more talent overall. That said, Davis will be the player for the Mustangs defense to key in on as he's averaging 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in his last 2 games.

UCF hasn't had a tough schedule and I don't see much resistance from them. Take SMU for your NCAA basketball picks and lay the points.
