There should be some good games in college hoops on Thursday with a solid slate of matchups. In one of those, can big underdog Buffalo stay within the number on the road against ranked Texas A&M?

Texas A&M is no longer under the radar this season and oddsmakers have come out making them a strong double-digit favorite in this spot versus Buffalo. I really like this Aggies team and I look for them to possibly win the SEC. That being said, though, for my NCAA pick I’m going to take Buffalo plus the points because this is just too many. Buffalo has been good on both sides of the ball, averaging 80.7 points per game while allowing 79.2. Although the number doesn’t look great defensively, their statistics are decent and what I like is the fact they are allowing opponents just 6.5 three-pointers made per game, which will be a point of contention tonight. Texas A&M has been great across the board on both sides of the ball, especially defensively where they rank third in the country in opponent shooting efficiency. What could hurt them a little tonight is that they allow so much pace, and this fits right into Buffalo's scheme. Texas A&M allows 64.3 attempts per game while Buffalo gets up 65.8, ranking them 11th in the country. Because this could get into a bit of a track meet, I’ll gladly take Buffalo getting the big number and look for them to lose by around 10.
