The No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks are set to take off in their quest for an 11th Big 12 championship. Can TCU carry momentum from a 19-point win against Oklahoma last night into the quarterfinal game?

Kansas vs. TCU

The Wildcats are favorites to win the Big 12 Championship after securing their 13th straight conference title. First, they have to shed a much-improved TCU squad. The Horned Frogs walloped Oklahoma 82-63 as 2-point favorites last night. Look for the momentum to come to a screeching halt this afternoon.

Jayhawks freshman Josh Jackson will miss out because of a one-game suspension following a traffic citation over the week. His absence will hardly matter. The talent gap is extreme, led by National Player of the Year candidate Frank Mason III. Kansas has tipped off a 14.4-point favorite over the last decade in the matchup. It is 10-1 SU and 5-6 ATS overall.

Oddsmakers have yet to set the line as of publication, but we have the Jayhawks winning by 9 points. The OVER is on our radar, however. Away from home in Big 12 play, TCU allowed 82 points or more in four games with a total of 145 or greater. It yielded slightly more than 6 points per game than betting market projections. Couple this trend with tired Horned Frog legs, and the Jayhawks offense might soar. We have the over/under set at 150 with Kansas aiming to eclipse 80 points.
