After going undefeated on Sunday, we're feeling confident today, the birthday of the great Dr. Mr. Luther King Jr. Here are your NCAA Basketball Picks of the Day for MLK Monday as we look to bring you the best.

#2 Kansas Jayhawks (16-1) vs Iowa State Cyclones (11-5) 16 Straight Wins For KU

While I know that the home team get's the nod in the smaller conferences, this is big time basketball and the Kansas Jayhawks have run off 16 straight wins with a coveted victory over Duke early in the season. This is a Kansas squad that can rack up the points (86 points per game), protect the basketball (41 rebounds) and shoot efficiently (over 50% from the field and over 40% from beyond the arc). This is a team which is playing at a very high level.

 Frank Mason III

A huge reason for Kansas' success is 5 foot 11 senior, Frank Mason III. I don't know how this will translate to the next level for Mason III, but rest assured; there will be a spot for him on some NBA team. Mason III has been an offensive machine all season long and the main reason why the Jayhawks are ranked 2nd in nation.

For the season, he's averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and is shooting 53.3% from beyond the arc. In his last 3 games, Mason III is averaging 25.3 points per game and expect a big game from the senior as Kansas would like to keep the momentum going as Iowa State could sure use a "W" on their resume against Kansas and knock the Jayhawks off of their perch.

With 2 point losses to Baylor and Gonzaga, the Cyclones might even have had the more difficult schedule than the Jayhawks, but the bottom line amounts to wins and Iowa State doesn't possess that big win over a top 25 team on their resume.

The combination of Nazareth Mitrou-Long (15.7 points, 4.8 rebounds) and Monte Morris (15.5 points, 5.8 assists, 5 rebounds) will look to lead the way in providing Iowa State the best chance possible to win. This duo provides a ton of senior leadership and if this game becomes close, both players shoot 80% from the free throw line and that can come in handy

Kansas has mowed down their opponents and the odds are too appealing to pass up.
