The Oklahoma State Cowboys have dominated the Iowa State Cyclones when playing in Stillwater, but the last few meetings at the venue have been decided by very slim margins.

Let’s take a closer look at the NCAA basketball odds for this Big 12 Conference showdown at Gallagher-Iba Arena, with the opening tip scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Fallen into a pattern

Oklahoma State has alternated wins and losses over its last four contests, as it comes off a 81-75 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners as seven-point home favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total for the first time in four contests.

The Cyclones have won five games against ranked opponents this season, which ties for the second most in school history.

Since the 2011-12 campaign, the program is 2-2 SUATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 6 points.

Oklahoma State is 1-3 SUATS over its last four games, as it looks to bounce back from a 76-70 defeat to the Baylor Bears as 11.5-point home favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for a fourth consecutive affair.

The Cowboys need a major performance from leading scorer Marcus Smart in this affair, as he missed all seven of his shot attempts from beyond the arc versus the Bears.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the team is 24-37 ATS when playing versus a team with a winning record.

Plenty of firepower

College basketball handicappers should take a long look at the Cyclones in this affair, as they enter as the only team in the country to score 70 or more points in every game this season.

Iowa State is also one of just two programs to have three players averaging at least 16 points a contest, with senior forward Melvin Ejim leading the way at 18.1.

Important category

The Cowboys have put together a league-leading +4.1 turnover margin—a number that gets even better when playing at this venue (+6.3).

Oklahoma State may struggle to dominate in that statistical category Monday, as Iowa State turns the ball over on just 14.2 percent of its offensive possessions.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Cyclones, as the Cowboys are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games versus a team with a .600 or better winning percentage.
