This week primarily wraps up nonconference play, with most conferences beginning league action next week. With this, I have a couple more out of conference underdogs that should be of value tonight.

Why should you trust me for college basketball picks, the last two Hump Day I have swept both selections taking dogs and for the year I am 6-2 ATS on these articles.

When combing through the college basketball odds for Wednesday, here are two more live dogs who could be showing their teeth.

Watch Out For These Tigers

Free NCAAB Pick: Towson +5Best Line Offered: at 5Dimes

I have long been a fan of Oakland University and there coach Greg Kampe. I liked how the Golden Grizzlies play on both ends of the floor and they are entertaining to watch. Unfortunately, the recruiting has fallen off a bit and Oakland U. is not getting the same kinds of athletes they were a few seasons ago and that plays a part into 6-5 (3-5 ATS) start to the season. No question, Oakland facing Syracuse, Kansas and Michigan State has not helped their record.

Sportsbooks have sent out the Golden Grizzlies as four-point favorites over Towson. The Tigers are expected to finish in the Top 3 of the Colonial (CAA) and have reeled off 10 straight wins after losing season opener. Towson has not played nearly as arduous a schedule as Oakland, but shoots 47.3 percent and connects on highly effective 39.4 percent of three's. The Tigers have a +8 edge in rebounding and have held opposing teams to 37 percent accuracy.

Will playing less challenging slate hurt Towson tonight, possibly. Nevertheless, the Tigers are 12-4 ATS after two or more wins the last two seasons and I like their chances of reaching 6-1 ATS on this season.

Nebraska Wins, But Fails to Cover

Free Basketball Pick: UTSA +11Best Line Offered: at Bookmaker

The Cornhuskers are 7-5 SU and ATS under coach Tim Miles and not one of their losses was to a bad team. Nebraska has been particularly effective at home where they are 5-1 SU and ATS. Yet after two Big Ten games and facing Creighton and Kansas, I cannot help but wonder if the Huskers will be little off this evening. The students have gone home for semester break, which means the Pinnacle Bank Arena will not have same energy. And, a contest with UT-San Antonio might not bring out the best in Nebraska.

UTSA is 7-5 this season and has played pansies at home and faced stronger competition on the road. The Roadrunners nickname seems to fit a club scoring 86.6 PPG and even away from home they average 81.1 PPG. With all three sets of my numbers having UTSA to fall by single digits, I will grab the 11-points with the Roadrunners, who are 5-1 ATS when away.
