We continue to do well choosing only underdogs in the middle of the week in college buckets with a 9-5 ATS record. We will seek to earn a sweep Wednesday and get us back over 66.6 percent for the season.

In looking at the college basketball odds for Hump Day, we will be traveling first into the Atlantic 10 before heading to the Hoosier State for a Missouri Valley Conference matchup. In both cases, we like our chances and are after a pair of outright upsets.

Minutemen To The Rescue

You will not find any neon signs or heavy promotions concerning LaSalle (7-9, 7-6-2 ATS) at Massachusetts (8-8, 7-6 ATS) tonight in A-10 action. This is a pair of average clubs, and their statistics seem to bear that out.

The Explorers average 71 points a game and only convert 42.7 percent of their shot attempts. LaSalle welcomed backed five starters, but an overly difficult schedule has held the Explorers back from a better record and likely lower shooting stats. Nevertheless, they are 1.5-point road favorites. Massachusetts scores virtually the same amount as tonight's opponent at 71.1 PPG, though the Minutemen's accuracy is better at 45.3 percent.

Why do I like UMass? First, with such a short number, LaSalle is 2-7 SU away from Philly and the Minutemen are 7-2 SU at home. Along this line of thinking, UMass is 10-5 (9-6 ATS) when hosting the Explorers over the years. Lastly, in home/road differentials, Massachusetts converts three more made 3-pointers per game, which is the difference in the outcome.

Evansville Comes Up Aces at Home

Missouri State (13-4, 8-6 ATS) was picked to win the MVC this season and chances are it will, but the Bears are coming off their first conference loss at Illinois State and are a game behind surprising Drake. The Bears were worse than "Sloppy Steve," with a -12 turnover differential in that contest. Missouri State has another rugged road game against an Evansville group that is always a difficult club to beat on its home court.

The Purple Aces are 9-1 (4-2 ATS) at home and play a deliberate style, averaging only 51 shot attempts per contest, but they value each one in making 47.2 percent of them. The same is true on 3-pointers, converting 6 of 13 on average.

Evansville (11-6, 9-4 ATS) is on the receiving end 2.5 points in this conflict and besides a sensational home record, the Aces are 9-2 ATS when the line is +3 to -3 in recent games. They have won by more than 10 PPG when this occurs. Add in Missouri State is 9-18 ATS the last couple years as a favorite, and we have an upset in the making.
