Xavier have been flatout dominant and tonight, they have a matchup on the road against a formidable Wake Forest Demon Deacons team. What will be our wise NCAA basketball pick?

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST tonight at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston Salem, North Carolina. According to 5Dimes NCAA Basketball odds board, the Musketeers are a 7.5 point betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 154.

Codi Miller- McIntyre is Back
This game could be much closer than the betting odds indicate as guard, Codi Miller- McIntyre is back from a broken foot. The broken foot had kept Miller- McIntyre out of the Demon Deacons lineup for the first 8 games of the season.

He's been eased back into the lineup, not getting a full amount of playing time in his last two games, but expect his playing time to increase after a 10 point, 5 assist performance against Coastal Carolina in limited time. This player is a proven commodity as he's coming off of a 14.5 point, 4.8 rebound, and 4.3 assist junior season. The Demon Deacons will only get better as they managed fine without him. This is definitely something to take into account when placing your bet.

Devin Thomas
The Musketeers will have the unenviable task of dealing with Wake Forest's best player and one of the best players in the ACC in Thomas. He's exceptional on both ends of the court, averaging 17.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 2 blocks per ball game. This is a massive man that can't be stopped. I take that back. The only thing that can stop him is aggressiveness and foul trouble like his last game in which he was just 3 for 4 from the field for 6 points and fouled out against Coastal Carolina. Previous to that game, he had 4 consecutive games of 20 points or more. Expect Thomas to look to redeem himself and be motivated to take down an undefeated opponent. I look for him to have a huge game at home.

Where Xavier is concerned, this is a team that averages 82 points per game, is dominant on the boards, and their top 4 scorers all shoot 39.6% or better from 3-point land. While they might not have a player as good as Devin Thomas, collectively as a team, they have been unstoppable as most of their prodcution comes from their starters.

6 foot 6 sophomore guard, Trevon Blueitt is the go to guy on this team, averaging 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. What makes this team so great is that Blueitt can have a sub-par outing and there's plenty of capable starters such as Miles Davis and Jalen Reynolds to pick up the slack as both players are double figure scorers and have already proven that they can take a lead role.

This game is a great setup for the Demon Deacons at home and with Thomas on their side and a healthy Codi Miller-McIntyre, they're receiving a ton of points and should be able to cover the spread.
