Free NCAA Basketball Pick: Boise State -3½
Best Odds Offered By Pinnacle

For NCAA college basketball hoop Saturday, I think we have an underrated matchup when the Oregon Ducks travel to take on the Boise State Broncos. Odds makers have come out with an interesting line making the 24th ranked Ducks the underdog in this spot, but as we start to look at the matchups and home-court advantage, the play here is on the Broncos.

NCAA Basketball Odds Overview
Odds makers have come out making Boise State a -3.5 favorite -106 like at Pinnacle Sports. This a very interesting line considering that Oregon is 7-1 and Boise State is 6-4 on the season. Looking at the competition so far that both teams have faced, it starts to make a little bit of sense, and I think NCAA Basketball odds makers have this right. For my NCAA college pick of the day, I will take Boise State -3.5 and look for them to win this game at home by close to double digits.

Oregon Ducks
Oregon is averaging 76.1 points per game, while shooting 45.7% from the field, and allowing 64.1 points per game on 38.4% opponent shooting from the field. This is a well-rounded team that looks to be one of the best in the PAC 12 this season, but this is a tough spot for them with this being their first real road test. They have five guys averaging double digits led by freshman guard Tyler Dorsey, and head coach Dana Altman seems to have some nice talent with this team. They don't have a ton of size, but they are very athletic and they have been defending very well, so far allowing opponents just 43.4% in effective field goals, which ranks 20th in the country. Still, they haven't had the toughest schedule so far and just began traveling recently with a tournament in Hawaii where they lost to UNLV and then beat Navy. That loss to the Running Rebels was by double digits and that could be telling tonight against a Boise State team that is probably just a little bit better than that squad.

Boise State Broncos
Boise State comes in averaging 74.2 points per game while shooting 45.3% from the field, and allowing 73.6 points per game on 45.7% shooting from the field. These are not great numbers overall, but when we start to look at who they have faced so far this season, it starts to make better sense. So far on the year, they have faced top ranked Michigan State, a game that they hung right in with a very good Spartan team, and arguably the best team in the PAC 12 Arizona, twice. Against Arizona, like Michigan state, the Broncos were very competitive and were in it for most of the game. This Boise State team is really talented across the board, led by Anthony Drmic who is averaging just over 14 points per game. They have not had a lot of opportunities to face a ranked team at home, so I expect for them to be very excited to host the Ducks. Don't let their record fool you, this is a very talented team.

For one of your NCAA Basketball picks, I recommend backing Boise State at -3.5. The home-court advantage should be the main difference, but if these two teams met on a neutral floor, the Broncos would have more than a good chance to win in that type of setting. Expect this game to be decently tight and for the Broncos to pull away in the second half.
