For our NCAA Basketball picks today, we focus on Iowa and Wisconsin, featuring two of the best big men in the league, which will lead to a high-scoring affair at the Kohl Center Tuesday.

Not Intimidated
Iowa has put together a 4-1 SUATS record to open up Big Ten Conference play, which is important to consider when making your NCAA Basketball picks, as it has also won its first three true road games this year.

The last five games in this rivalry have been decided by five or fewer points, but the Hawkeyes dropped both meetings a season ago, including a 75-71 setback as 6.5-point road underdogs in its last trip to this venue.

It’s important that the team receives strong play out of its center position, with Adam Woodbury and Gabriel Olaseni combining to average 16 points and 10.8 rebounds.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the squad is 7-16 SU and 15-8 ATS when getting points.

Back On Track
Wisconsin earned a 70-55 victory over Nebraska as 15-point home favorites in its first full game without the services of starting point guard Traevon Jackson last Thursday, but it has a capable backup in Bronson Koenig.

The sophomore guard has averaged 11.5 points in two career starts, which can’t be ignored when looking over the NCAA Basketball betting odds, as he’s also dished out 37 assists versus just nine turnovers this season.

Offensively, the team ranks second in the country in offensive efficiency, while it leads the Big Ten in averaging 72.8 points during conference play.

Since the start of the 2012-13 campaign, the school is 6-1 SU and 2-5 ATS as home favorites of 6.5 to 9 points, with the OVER going 6-1 in that situation.

White Out
The only two players in the Big Ten averaging 16-plus points and seven-plus rebounds will be featured in this matchup, as Iowa’s Aaron White prepares to due battle with Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky.

White has played a big part in Iowa scoring 70 or more points in five of the last six meetings in this rivalry, while he ranks first nationally in highest percentage of points scored from the charity stripe this year.

In 14 seasons under the direction of head coach Bo Ryan, the Badgers have compiled a remarkable 100-14 SU record against conference opponents inside this building.

Ryan has also captured 17 of 24 meetings against Iowa during his time in Madison, including a 10-1 mark in front of the school’s fan base.

I’m going to recommend that readers play the total as one of their top basketball picks, as the OVER has cashed in the last six installments of this series.
