The Butler Bulldogs have dominated the top teams in the land. They're an amazing 5-1 against AP Top 25 competition. A matchup against a floundering Georgetown Hoyas team seems like a piece of cake for the giant killing Bulldogs. Butler is just a 9 point betting favorite at home and that seem's quite reasonable.

Georgetown Hoyas (11-10, 2-6) vs #11 Butler Bulldogs (18-3, 7-2)

The Story of the 2016-2017 NCAA Basketball Season

This is my opinion, but when you can knock off Arizona, Cincinnati, Indiana, Villanova, and Xavier in the first 21 games of the season, it say's that a team has a difficult schedule and the wins speak for themselves.

Butler has already faced Georgetown on the road and came out on top. There is no reason why we should expect anything different in this game. They're notorious for upsetting top-level competition and also playing well in the NCAA Tournament. A matchup at home against a Gerogetown team which has managed just 2 wins in 8 games in a weak Big East Conference seem's like "a walk in the park" for the dominant Bulldogs.

A Total Team Effort

Butler is far from a dominant rebounding team or even point producing for that matter. They average 77 points 33 rebounds, and 13 assists per game. These numbers are quite low for a team of this caliber. They're is a team that hits timely hoops and finds ways to win with solid defense.

Two players that will be the key to Butler's success are Kelan Martin (16.3 points, 5.6 rebounds) and Andrew Chrabascz (11.2 points, 5.9 rebounds).

Despite shooting 2 of 10 from the field in their win over Seton Hall, Martin managed a double-double while Chrabascz came up with a solid 16 point, 6 rebound effort. It take's a team effort for Butler to knock off almost all of their opponents as 7 different players average 7 points or more per game this season. I expect nothing different in this game as Georgetown poses absolutely no threat. Look for the Bulldogs to win big tonight.
