Inspect the betting line moves in NCAA Basketball, NBA & NHL. It has been a couple of frenzied days for sports bettors, as we're in quarter or semi-finals rounds of NCAA conference tournaments.

Chicago Bulls vs. Charlotte Hornets 7:05 ET  WPWR, SPSO
This line movement for those generating NBA picks is determining the lesser of all evils on the injury front. Chicago is without starters Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, key reserve Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah missed Wednesday’s game but is expected back. Charlotte finally has Kemba Walker in the fold, but could be without center Al Jefferson for a yet undetermined amount of time because of a calf strain. The betting odds had the Hornets catching one point, but they have been flipped to one point favorites. It’s not easy to like Charlotte, who is 12-21 ATS at home, yet the Bulls injuries and the fact they are 4-14 ATS off a road win makes them less palatable.

NBA Pick – Lean Charlotte at 5Dimes

Miami Heat vs. Toronto Raptors 7:35 ET SUN, SN-1
Toronto has been listless in losing nine of 10 (2-8 ATS) and where it has really shown up is on the defensive end of the floor. The Raptors have been as slow as a lumbering dinosaur in surrendering 109.5 points per contest in past seven outings. Despite Toronto’s wretched defense and Miami averaging almost seven points more per game in their last five tilts compared to season average, the total has shrunk from 206 to 204. In attempting to understand why the NBA odds have headed south, the Heat is 21-11 UNDER on the road and they are 11-3 UNDER when facing a club which scores 103 or more points a game. We did find the Toronto is 12-2 OVER off a 10 or more points setback, but we’ll roll with the sentiment on this one.

Ohio State vs. Michigan State 9:00 ET  BTN
Ohio State has been extremely inconsistent all season and this is clearly not your typical Tom Izzo squad out of East Lansing, nonetheless,
basketball bettors have taken a strong stand and shifted the Spartans from +1 to -1.5 on NCAA Basketball odds. As much as anything, our guess it stems from the mental
toughness aspect and Michigan State’s often greater resolve has them at 9-6 SU and ATS away from home compared to the Buckeyes at 5-7 and 4-7 ATS. Realistically, not much to choose from but like any good college basketball handicapper, sometimes you have to keep using your shovel and with the total around 133, Ohio State is 0-6 ATS in a neutral court game where the total is 130 to 139.5 the last three seasons.

North Carolina vs. Virginia 7:00 ET  ESPN
Consider North Carolina’s potential path to an ACC championship. Yesterday they faced Louisville, today Virginia and possibly Duke tomorrow. Talk about a rugged ride in Greensboro! Those making NCAA basketball picks are thinking the Tar Heels exit here and they have been bumped from +2.5 to +4 against the conference champions. Virginia broke down North Carolina at Chapel Hill at 75-64, connecting on 51.4 percent from the field. No question Virginia has some offensive limitations and Justin Anderson is working his way back into the flow, but the Cavaliers are 7-0 ATS after scoring 60 points or less in three straight games.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Minnesota Wild 8:05 ET  FS-W, FS-N
The total for this Western Conference clash opened at a normal 5.5 (-110) on NHL betting odds, however, since the oddsmakers release there has been nothing normal about it. It has been one-sided NHL pick and the total is 30 cent higher to the lower side at 5.5 (-140). Minnesota has only conceded more than two goals once in their past 11 conflicts. Anaheim has not been nearly as sharp, allowing 13 goals their last three trips to the rink, all losses. Both teams are trending downward for this encounter and the Wild is 11-4 UNDER after winning by two or more goals.

NHL Pick – Play Under at 5Dimes
