Not a single ranked team in action around the country in Friday college basketball action, but there are still some good matchups. The best is easily Ole Miss at Memphis, two possible Big Dance teams. Here are my top picks on the NCAA Basketball odds board. Ready? Let's begin...

Ole Miss vs. Memphis (-3.5 On NCAA Basketball Odds)
This is one of those non-conference wins that could be the difference between the Rebels or Tigers getting an NCAA Tournament bid or landing in the NIT -- although I think both clubs are good enough to play in the Big Dance. The two best teams Ole Miss (8-2) has played likely are George Mason and Seton Hall and the Rebels lost both. They are off a 99-80 home win over Louisiana Tech on Tuesday. Stefan Moody had 29 points as Coach Andy Kennedy won his 200th game at the school. He has the fifth-most wins by an SEC coach in his first 10 years in the league at one school. Ole Miss shot 57 percent from the field. This will be the Rebels' fourth true road game of the season; they are 3-0 this year and 10-4 in true road games dating to last season. Moody leads the SEC and ranks seventh nationally (tops among Power 5 schools) in scoring at 24.1 ppg this year. Memphis (7-2) won a fifth straight game Tuesday, 72-67 over visiting Southern. The Tigers' bench was the key as K.J. Lawson had a career-high 16 points and Trahson Burrell a season-high 15. The difference came at the free-throw line where Memphis was 28-for-42 while Southern was 12-for-16. The Tigers have played two Power 5 teams this season, losing at home to a very good Oklahoma team and beating Ohio State at a neutral site. This is the 40th all-time meeting between Ole Miss and Memphis. The Tigers lead 27-12, but the Rebels won the most recent game in the 2010 NIT.

The Rebels are 3-9 ATS in their past 12 following a win. Memphis is 4-0 ATS in its past four vs. the SEC. Keep this in mind for your NCAA Basketball picks.

South Carolina vs. Clemson (+1.5 In NCAA Basketball Betting)
The Tigers claimed bragging rights in football -- albeit much closer than expected -- and now they look for state bragging rights in basketball. It might surprise you to know that South Carolina is 9-0, the only unbeaten in the SEC. Hard to get too excited thus far as the Gamecocks haven't played any big-time teams, with the best wins maybe against DePaul and Tulsa. USC warmed up for this one with a 79-54 home win over a really bad Drexel team on Tuesday to improve 9-0 for the first time since the school's 1970-71 ACC championship season. USC hasn’t been 10-0 since a 17-game winning streak to start the 1933-34 season. Against Drexel, guard P.J. Dozier finished with a career-high 16 points and 16 attempts from the line when he hadn’t shot more than six in a game all year. The game ended with 47 combined fouls and 58 free-throw attempts. Clemson (7-3) has played slightly better competition, losing to UMass, Minnesota and Alabama. On Tuesday, Clemson routed Presbyterian College 69-41. The Tiger defense held a third straight opponent to less than 30 percent from the floor. The Blue Hose shot just 27.6 percent, the Tigers’ best field-goal percentage defense in 173 games under Coach Brad Brownell. Clemson ranks fifth in the nation in opponent scoring average, as foes average only 56.9 points per game. This will be South Carolina's first true road game of the season. Over the last 10 home games in this series, Clemson has won seven of them. Last year in Columbia, South Carolina rolled 68-45 for only its third win in the past 11 in the series overall.  The Tigers scored a scant 15 second-half points.

USC is 3-8 ATS in its past 11 on the road. The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in the past five meetings at home.

Southern Illinois vs. Murray State (-3.5 For NCAA Basketball Picks)
The Salukis (9-2) are a Missouri Valley Conference team. This is their third true road game of the season and they won in overtime at Sam Houston State and easily at North Texas. SIU's best player is all-conference guard Anthony Beane, who averages 20.5 points and 4.2 rebounds. He needs four points to pass Seymour Bryson for ninth place on the school's all-time scoring list and 11 points to surpass Joe C. Meriweather into eighth. Beane has had two 30-point games this season, the first SIU player to do so since Troy Hudson in 1996-97. The Salukis have converted 52.5 percent of their 2-point shots, which is No. 2 in the MVC. They are averaging 79.6 points per game, a whopping 20 more than last year. Murray State (5-5) is usually the team to beat in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Racers enter on a three-game losing streak, falling at Houston, home to Evansville and at Illinois State. Defense was the problem in those as the three teams combined to shot 53 percent overall and 46 percent from long range. Damarcus Croaker returned to action against Illinois State with 12 points after missing the two prior games with a lower back injury. The game with SIU marks a third straight against a member of the Missouri Valley Conference for Murray State. MSU played four MVC opponents last season and won all of them -- Murray State won 83-71 at Southern Illinois last year.

SIU is 3-7 ATS in its past 10 road games. The Racers have covered eight of their past 10 vs. the Missouri Valley.
