Colorado Buffaloes player in action

After a 7 game losing streak, the Colorado Buffaloes have managed to regroup, winning 4 out of their last 5 games. Tonight, they are a double-digit betting favorite against a Washington State Cougars team which is going nowhere fast. A win tonight would keep them on the right track.

A Lot Of Work To Be Done

This is the case for the Buffaloes who possess a 4-8 mark in the Pac-12 Conference. A lot of importance is placed on inter-conference games and the Buffaloes must have this game tonight to even be considered for anything unless they win the Pac-12 Tournament, which is highly unlikely. Colorado has been a disaster to back as they're just 8-15-1 ATS. Being placed as a 12 point favorite despite their recent success will make for another tough cover regarding CU. Let''s not forget; this is a team with wins over Texas, Xavier, and Oregon on their resume and those victories carry a lot of weight for Colorado.

Xavier Johnson and Wesley Gordon Listed as Probable

After they served their suspension for violation team rules, both players apologized and should suit up tonight. While this is not a definite as they're listed as probable, we're expecting both players to play tonight and Colorado could sure use what both players bring to the table.

While leading scorer Derrick White (16.7 points, 4.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds) has been a consistent source of offense for the Buffaloes, Xavier Johnson (15.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 44.1% 3-point shooting) and Wesley Gordon (7.2 points, 7.3 rebounds) provide a lot of size in the trenches and are two of the top 3 leading rebounders on this team. With the production of both players inserted back into the lineup, this becomes a dangerous Colorado squad and the betting odds are indicating to me that they will play.

Where Washington State is concerned, they've been facing tough opponents such as UCLA, USC, and Arizona and haven't been able to find success against the elite teams in the Pac-12 Conference. This hasn't stopped "Mr. Double-Double", Josh Hawkinson from producing on a game to game basis as he's averaging 19.8 points and 10.5 rebounds in his last 4 games. Hawkinson is a big man that can shoot the basketball and Colorado must bear down on him defensively or their season will be done quickly.
