After holding the #1 spot in the AP Poll, the #2 Villanova Wildcats have regrouped and won 5 straight games, recently beating Xavier. Tonight should be a cakewalk for the defending national champions as they travel to face a DePaul Blue Demons team which has really struggled this season.

Villanova Wildcats vs DePaul Blue Demons

While the Big East is a rather weak conference, this game features their strength in 1st place Villanova against the cellar-dwelling Blue Demons. DePaul has simply not been able to adjust to inter-conference play as they've managed just 1 win all season long. Now, they're set to face the defending national champs and the "Beast of the Big East" in Villanova. This game could be over early.

Back To Back NCAA Titles?

I don't know what Gonzaga think's about that, but Villanova has had a very tough schedule and played quite well. They have wins over Purdue, Notre Dame, Creighton, Xavier (2 times), and Virginia to their credit. That's very impressive and this should be a team that will go deep into "March Madness".

The "Hart" of the Cats

Senior Josh Hart certainly is the heart of this Villanova squad. He's everything that a team wants in a leader as he is a fantastic two -way player with great size for a guard. He's averaging 18.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. His size enables him to be a force on the boards and he's very unselfish in the process.

In Hart's last game, the Wildcats came up with a huge victory against Xavier. Defense was the focus as Villanova allowed just 57 points and although Hart finished with just 11 points and his 3-point shot wasn't falling, he still managed 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals for the game. This is a multi-faceted player that will see the next level, but right now, he has his eye's set on a 2nd consecutive national championship and in Villanova's way tonight are the lowly Blue Demons.

DePaul has lost 8 games in a row, but they did give Villanova a run for their money in their first matchup of the season as they lost 68-65. Don't expect that here as DePaul has been on a downward spiral and they don't have the talent to compete with Villanova.
