The #3 Kansas have been dominant all season long and also in control of the Big 12 Conference, and they are looking to finish the season strong. Tonight, the Jayhawks are a decisive betting favorite against Sooners. Does Oklahoma have anything in the tank to make this game competitive is the question?

    Oklahoma Sooners vs Kansas Jayhawks

The first thing that I think of regarding Kansas closing out strong is the Gonzaga game as Gonzaga had a storybook season but couldn't seal the deal and stay undefeated with a win in their regular-season finale to BYU. The big difference is that BYU was an above average basketball squad and the Oklahoma Sooners are a bottom-feeder. Sparked by the offense of Frank Mason III, the Jayhawks look quite appealing in this matchup.

Kansas is a team with quality victories against Duke, Kentucky, Iowa State, Baylor ( twice), and West Virginia on their resume. They're are the class of the Big 12 as the outright champs and a #1 seeding should be waiting for them in the NCAA Tournament.

Frank Mason III

It remains to be seen what 5 foot 11 senior Frank Mason III can do at the next level, but I see him as a solid role player that can drill the 3-point shot.

For the season, Mason III has connected on over 50% of his 3's. To go along with that, he's averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.1 rebounds. While we don't know if his success here will carry over to the NBA, Mason III has really upped his game in his senior season and a National Championship would be the icing on the cake. Look for Mason III to have a 20 point effort as this Oklahoma defense will be unable to stop him.

Kansas is a team that can light up the scoreboard, averaging a sizzling 83 points per game.

As for Oklahoma, they're coming off of an impressive 30 point victory over Kansas State, but have lost 8 out of their last 10 games. The one statistic that stands out like a sore thumb is their assist total. This team average's 10.9 assists per game and that won't cut it against most teams as teamwork is essential for success.
