The No. 7 Colorado Buffaloes didn’t beat the NCAAB odds in Wednesday’s Pac-12 first-rounder, but at least they get to play the No. 2 Arizona Wildcats on Thursday.

   Colorado Buffaloes vs Arizona Wildcats

Well, that was just silly. The Washington State Cougars had their way with the No. 7 Colorado Buffaloes in the first half of their opening-round Pac-12 Tournament matchup. Then the Buffaloes stormed back in the second half and won 73-63. Alas, we had the Cougs at +10 across the board; they were available as high as +11.5 at the close. Wazzu, indeed.

Anyway, it goes back to what we were saying about the Buffs: This is one of the worst college basketball picks around, falling to 19-13 SU and 11-19-1 ATS on the season. And now they have to play the No. 2 Arizona Wildcats in Thursday’s second-round tilt (6:00 p.m. ET, PAC12). The Wildcats are one of the elite teams in the conference at 27-4 SU and 15-14-2 ATS. They’re a viable Final Four candidate at the Big Dance; Colorado’s probably going to the NIT.

But the ‘Cats are also overvalued at No. 7 on the AP rankings, compared to No. 21 on Ken Pomeroy’s efficiency charts. And when they beat the Buffs 82-73 back in January, it was Colorado cashing in as an 11-point dog. Let’s bail and take the UNDER for the rematch. The Buffaloes are going to be tired after Wednesday’s comeback, and these are two painfully slow teams, so just throw them onto the court together and let nature take its course.
