It's the Saturday after Christmas and that means a ton of NCAA Basketball action. While there are a handful of NCAA Football Bowl games going on, this is basketball season and I see a ton of matchups in which I can find you the betting edge. Let's take a closer look.

#24 Colorado State Rams (12-0) vs. New Mexico State Aggies (5-8)
A Rotten Line....
Something is really wrong here as the Rams are a ranked team and undefeated in the process and just a 2.5 point betting favorite according to SBR's live NCAA Basketball odds.

We look at the Aggies schedule and nothing really stand out. They've faced teams like St. Mary's, Wichita State, and Baylor and have come up short. The one thing that I will say is that Colorado State hasn't had the opportunity to face a ranked opponent, but the pollsters still thought enough of the Rams to rank them 21st after 12 straight victories to start off the season. I'm looking for a reason, not to take Colorado State, but I doubt that I will find one.

Well Balanced Offense
Senior ,J.J. Avila, provides the Rams with a lot of width and a well balanced game on a well balanced team. He doesn't look to force his shot, but for the season, Avila leads the Rams at 14.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. I don't expect anything different from Avila against the Aggies offense as the Aggies face take a dramatic increase in difficulty of opponent from their last matchup.

Along with Avila, the Rams get major support on the glass from Stanton Kidd (5.6 rpg.) and Daniel Bejerano (6.6 rpg.). To go along with his ability to rebound the basketball, Kidd can knock down the 3-ball. He's coming off of a 4 for 5 shooting performance from beyond the arc against Charleston Southern and is shooting 47.2% from 3-point range this season. These 3 players will be the key figures as the Rams look for a win on the road against an Aggies squad coming off of a convincing win.

New Mexico State, who is 5-1 at home, is led by the combination of Remi Barry and Pascal Siakam. Both players are very efficient shooters, but Barry (13.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg.) is off the chart from beyond the arc, shooting an amazing 62.5%. Granted he's only taken 24 shots from 3-point range on the season, but this is a consistent performer who can put the rock in the hole.

Odds makers are looking at this from a perspective in which the Aggies have only lost once at home. I'm looking at their overall body of work and it's not enough to defeat the Rams.

Wright State Raiders (8-5) vs. #21 Ohio State Buckeyes (10-2)
The Raiders have had a very solid season thus far, but find themselves in a pickle as they're a 17.5 point betting underdog to a ranked Ohio State team which is undefeated on at home.

While Ohio State has found much success against teams such as Marquette and opponents of lesser talent, they haven't been able to pull off the big win as of yet this season. OSU's 2 losses came to North Carolina and Louisville. While both of these losses were less than 10 points, Ohio State isn't amongst the elite teams in the country. Can Wright State hang with the Buckeyes and cover is the question?

JT Yoho
He definitely has the name for success, but does JT Yoho have the game to back it up; indeed he does. Yoho leads the Raiders at 17.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Yoho isn't the talent of a Jahlil Okafor, but he has the ability on both ends of the court to keep the Raiders in the game if the Buckeyes have a poor outing. Wright State knows that they get a consistent effort out of Yoho as there's no major upside or downside in his game. This is a reliable basketball player.

"Loving" the Net
Buckeyes forward Marc Loving has been playing well above his seasonal averages as of late and is definitely a player to keep an eye on. Loving lit North Carolina up for 19 points on 5 of 8 shooting from 3 point range. For the season, Loving is shooting 58.5% from 3-point range. When making your NCAA basketball picks for today look for Loving to come up big here and the home court advantage will also boost the play of the Buckeyes.
