Another team that commands respect are the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are dominant in their respective conference. Alec Wintering and the Portland Pilots host the Bulldogs and although the Pilots are a formidable squad, this game could get ugly.

  Gonzaga Bulldogs vs Portland Pilots

"Who's Next?"

That's basically the summary of the Bulldogs season as they repeatedly knock off opponents with such ease. They've defeated two top 25 teams in Iowa State and Arizona. Now, this well-rounded team must find a way to keep Alec Wintering in check. Wintering is the one threat in this game that could make this a competitive matchup as he's averaging over 20 points per game and suits many purposes.

Portland's Answer

I've been riding the "Gonzaga Express" all season long and they haven't disappointed me or the bettor as they're 10-2 ATS thus far. This is a team that's a +20 on the season where the outcome is concerned and the one player that they'll be putting extra attention on is  Alec Wintering.

Wintering has been a beast all season long at 21 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.8 rebounds. For a 6 foot guard, these are outstanding numbers and the Pilots will go as far as Wintering take's them and in his last game against a .500 Santa Clara team, Wintering managed just 8 points and Portland was upset 70-42. Although Gonzaga possesses a strong defense, look for Wintering to redeem himself.

For Gonzaga, nobody has had an answer for Nigel Williams-Goss (15.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists) and 7 foot 1, 300-pound center, Przemek Karnowski. Karnowski's pure presence in the middle should create trouble for the Pilots, who are not a good rebounding team, to begin with. As for Williams-Goss, the junior transfer is coming off of a monstrous 36 point, 11 rebound, and 6 assist performance in a double-digit win over San Francisco.

The question in this game is whether Portland will "rebound" from an awful loss to Santa Clara? No pun intended. Until they provide a solid effort, I'm going to stick with my "bread and butter" in the Broncos, who have covered the number over 80% of the time this season.
