Mike Krzyzewski knows that college basketball fans and bettors are eagerly awaiting the Duke Blue Devils' rematch with the Syracuse Orange on Feb. 22. Coach K also understands that game is no more important than any other on Duke's schedule, and with four contests between now and then -- three of them on the road -- there are plenty of opportunities for the Blue Devils to stumble.

The first of those four matchups takes place Saturday with a trip to Chestnut Hill against the Boston College Eagles. ESPN will begin its broadcast at 6 PM (ET) ESPN, and the Blue Devils are 10.5 point favorites with SBR's live NCAA basketball odds listing 151.5 for the total.

The Blue Devils bring a 7-game win streak over BC into Saturday's tilt, three of those victories coming in Beantown. Duke came out on top in both matchups last season, covering the game in Durham but needing late free throws to escape Conte Forum with a 62-61 victory as 11 point chalk almost exactly a year ago. Five of the last seven meetings stayed 'under' the total.

Boston College's last win over Duke was nearly five years ago at home, an 80-74 decision as a 7.5 point underdog. That victory was the Eagles' first in the series since 1985, most of those games played when BC was in the Big East.

Blue Devils Bounce Right Back Into Win Column

Duke (18-5 straight up, 15-8 against the spread) didn't let last Saturday's setback at Syracuse linger, getting quickly back into the win column with an 83-63 beat-down of Wake Forest on Tuesday. Semi Ojeleye's 3-pointer in the final minute, his only bucket of the evening, helped lift the Blue Devils to the cover as 18 point favorites, their sixth consecutive winning ticket on the NCAA Basketball odds.

Jabari Parker stuffed his stat sheet in the win vs. the Demon Deacons, scoring a game-high 21 while grabbing eight rebounds, blocking two shots and coming away with a pair of steals. Rasheed Sulaimon added 19 points and five assists while Andre Dawkins netted 17 off the bench.

For the second game in a row, however, Parker found himself on the bench for too many minutes due to foul trouble. The freshman fouled out of the loss to the Orange during regulation after spending much of the game watching from the sidelines, and only got in 27 minutes of action vs. Wake with four fouls.

Eagles Looking For Just 3rd ACC Victory

It's a pity Steve Donahue can't schedule more matchups vs. Virginia Tech for Boston College (6-16 SU, 7-13 ATS). The Eagles have managed just three victories since Thanksgiving, and two of those were against the Hokies with the other nothing more than a glorified scrimmage vs. Philadelphia University, an unlined contest in mid-December that saw the Rams play just six players in a 67-50 BC win.

The Eagles are returning home after spending the last week on the road at Notre Dame and Virginia. Both ended in defeat on the scoreboard, but wins against the spread as +6.5 and +13 underdogs, respectively.

Like Duke, Boston College relies heavily on the 3-point shot, ranking second in long-range heaves (518) in the ACC not far behind the Blue Devils (531). The difference, however, is Duke converts 41.6% of its tries from beyond the arc, fourth in the country, while BC ranks in the middle of the pack hitting 34.3%.

Duke could win this game by 20 or more, but I'm more inclined to think the total will not be reached. Put my down for an 'under' for my free college basketball pick.
