The Kentucky Wildcats had a very difficult schedule thus far this season and have managed to mow the opposition down as they're currently ranked #6 in the country and square off against an Arkansas Razorbacks team with an identical record, but a much easier schedule.

  Arkansas Razorbacks vs Kentucky Wildcats

Double Digit Favorites

The Kentucky Wildcats are the double digit favorite as the odds makers always provide this team of talented freshman with a ton of respect. Head coach, John Calipari is the king of recruiting and year after year, he bring's in the most talented crop of freshman and this year is no different.

Kentucky has a legitimate shot at winning an NCAA Championship, but with that said, there are many obstacles along the way and although a double digit dog, the Razorbacks can beat any team on any given day.

Making an Impression

It's been only 14 games and freshman guard and Arkansas native Malik Monk has already paved his own path to the NBA with his exceptional play on the court. He lead's the Wildcats in scoring a 22.6 points per game This is an amazing accomplishment for Monk as Kentucky is a team that doesn't care about statistics as there's only one basketball, but a ton of talent to spread the ball around.

Coach Calipari realized quite quickly that Monk was the path to his team being successful and Monk has been on fire as of late. In his last 2 games, Monk is averaging 30 points and is shooting a red hot 10 of 14 from 3 point territory. Just like no other team has, Arkansas won't have an answer for Monk and he'll be up for this game as he look's to impress his home state.

The Dynamic Duo

Another player that's often overlooked due to the success of Monk is his backcourt partner, De'Aaron Fox. This freshman does it all as he's a fantastic two-way player and 2nd leading scorer on the team. Fox is a fantastic rebounder for his size and the duo of Fox and Monk might very well be the best backcourt in the country as both players are surefire 1st round picks in the NBA Draft when they decide to leave Kentucky.

Arkansas is a few notches below Kentucky as the odds indicate. This is a team that's only faced one major top 25 contenders this season and came up short as they lost to the Florida Gators 81-72. Malik Monk is so hot at this point that I expect Kentucky to follow his lead as a weak rebounding Arkansas club should get blown out quite early in this game. Don't let the odds intimidate you.
