The UCLA Bruins have one of the best offensive attacks in college basketball, as they prepare to take on the defensive-minded Arizona Wildcats Thursday.

Let’s take a closer look at the college basketball lines for this Pac-12 Conference affair at Pauley Pavilion, with the opening tip scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

No. 1 team

Arizona has maintained the No. 1 spot in the country for five consecutive weeks, as it has compiled a 15-0 SU and 10-4 ATS mark through 15 games.

The Wildcats lead the Pac-12 Conference with 26 true road wins since the start of the 2009-10 season, including a perfect 2-0 SU mark in that situation this year.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 1-3 SUATS as road favorites of three or fewer points.

Scoring the basketball

UCLA is second in the conference in averaging 87.1 points per game, as it comes off a dominating 107-73 victory over the USC Trojans as 12.5-point home favorites, while going OVER the betting total of 154.

The Bruins are led offensively by sophomore guard Jordan Adams, who is averaging 18.7 points a contest, while forward/guard Kyle Anderson is one of the best all-around players in major college basketball.

Anderson is the only player in the country averaging close to a triple-double this season (15.1 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 6.6 apg).

Getting after it defensively

College basketball handicappers will have an interest in backing the road favorite, considering the Wildcats rank third nationally in scoring defense, while they’ve also won the rebounding battle in all 15 of their games.

Arizona is allowing opponents to shoot 36.1 percent overall and 26.1 from beyond the arc in the second half this year.

Facing the top dog

The Bruins have tallied a 10-19 SU all-time record against top-ranked teams, including a 4-5 mark in that situation since the start of the 1999-2000 campaign.

UCLA’s last home win over a No. 1 squad came against Kansas on Jan. 12, 2002.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Bruins for your free college basketball picks, as the home team has covered the number in six of the last eight meetings in this series.

It’s also important to point out that the UNDER has cashed in the last four games of this rivalry when played at this venue.
