One of the surprises in the RPI Rankings is that the 17-6 SU Bonnies, who are 9-3 SU, 8-4 ATS in the A-10 have a shocking RPI in the low 30s, putting them on the periphery of an NCAA bid.

St. Bonaventure vs. LaSalle 7:00PM ET
Last night, we lost a single digit road favorite with S. Carolina against Missouri, an Offensive Oaf and Towel Tosser.  Missouri suspended their 2nd leader scorer and figured to get beaten badly on the boards, as the Gamecocks entered as the best rebounding team in the division with a +8.3 rebound margin, while Missouri was worst at -1.5. So naturally, Missouri had a (+7) rebound margin and S. Carolina shot 33% from the field!

Today, we are right back with the same concept, as we fade Offensive Oaf/Towel Tosser, LaSalle, who is on a 10-game losing streak  with every loss by 8 or more points. The Explorers long ago tossed the towel and are clearly an Offensive Oaf with a record of 5-18 SU, 6-15 ATS. They average just 63 PPG, shoot 41% from the field and 34% from the arc. They also have a (-8) net rebound margin.  Even in their best seasons, LaSalle was never a good investment on their home court. In fact, under veteran HC Giannini, the Explorers are 48-78 ATS at home, including 2-8 ATS on their home court this season.

One of the surprises in the RPI Rankings is that the 17-6 SU Bonnies, who are 9-3 SU, 8-4 ATS in the A-10 (winners of 5 straight) have a shocking RPI in the low 30s, putting them on the periphery of an NCAA bid. For 9th year HC Mark Schmidt, this may be his best team ever after the Bonnies won 18 games in consecutive seasons. Credit an improved offense with 3 starters, who are averaging 16 or more PPG. The Bonnies average 77 PPG, including an average of eight 3 pointers per game at 36%. What I really like about this team is that they are among the tops in the nation, shooting over 78% from the foul line, which is critical should they need to extend any late game lead! Six times the Bonnies have taken to the road in the price range of (P) or favorite. They are a solid 4-2 ATS in that role, winning 5 of the 6 games. The most recent feather in their cap is an outright win at St. Joes by double digits (83-73) in their most recent trip to Philly. If they can beat the Hawks by double digits, they should have no problem extending a margin against Offensive Oaf/Towel Tosser, LaSalle.

Lay it, as the Bonnies cruise to a double digit victory in a game they well know is imperative for their quest for an NCAA bid.  I invite you to put the NCAA Basketball odds in your favor and join me in my NCAA Basketball pick on St. Bonnie tonight.
