Point spread

https://datawrapper.dwcdn.net/ARudS/1/

In the opening point spread, Kansas was favored by 3 points over Villanova. We haven't seen a -3 since the opener, as the line moved quickly from -3 to -4 and is now touching -4.5 at BetMGM and DraftKings Sportsbook. With 76% of the cash and 61% of the tickets on Kansas, we may see this number reach -5 by game time, as bettors continue to back Kansas even at -4.5.

The original total for this game was 132.5 and most sportsbooks have stayed close to the opening line with the exception of Caesars Sportsbook, which has a total of 134. Considering 79% of the cash and 65% of the tickets are on the Under, it is surprising to see Caesars with a 134. You will want to do your shopping at Caesars if you are contemplating playing the Under on this total on Saturday.

The Jayhawks opened as -165 favorites against Villanova on the moneyline and the line has been moving in favor of Kansas ever since. Kansas is still attracting bets despite the line being as short as -200 at BetMGM, Caesars and PointsBet. Even with Kansas priced at -200, 91% of the cash and 75% of the tickets are on the Jayhawks to win this game outright.

The point spread for Duke's game against North Carolina opened at 4 points. The spread is consistently fluctuating between 4 and 4.5. With the point spread set at Duke -4, 68% of the cash has been placed on Duke. In cases where the sportsbooks have moved the line to Duke -4.5, 54% of the cash is being wagered on North Carolina. Expect this number to fluctuate between 4 and 4.5 until game time.

Total

This game opened with a total of 149.5, but we have seen it bet up to 151.5 at BetMGM and PointsBet. At present, we are seeing 78% of the cash and 69% of the tickets on the Over. Moving the total up to 151.5 has not affected how people are betting on the game total, since 83% of the cash and 67% of the tickets are currently on the Over at this exact number. KenPom predicts that this game will end with a total score of 154 points, which is most likely the reason for the influx of money on the Over.

Although North Carolina is being backed on the point spread against Duke, the moneyline wagering has been extremely one-sided. Duke opened as a -180 favorite, but has since been shortened to -200 with sportsbooks such as PointsBet. Currently, 96% of the cash and 78% of the tickets are on Duke. Despite the price point being moved to -200, 97% of the cash is still on Duke.
