Oregon (19-10 SU, 14-13 ATS) is making a late-season charge for a first-round bye in the Pac-12 Tournament, as well as a case for an invite to the Big Dance. The Ducks own an RPI of 72, yet have won four of their last six contests, covering the spread in all but one. Losses at USC and UCLA easily could have finished the other way, too. Oregon fell by a bucket, 72-70, at USC, and pushed host UCLA to overtime before losing 86-78.

Defense is fueling the Ducks’ current run. It is surrendering 67.7 points per game in regulation time on 43.6-percent shooting. Turnovers are key to victory. Oregon has forced 13.5 takeaways per contest in this span, while donating just 7.8 to opponents. The program is 62-31-2 ATS versus conference foes during Dana Altman’s coaching tenure when winning the turnover battle.

Washington State (11-17 SU, 13-14 ATS) is also enjoying a nice late-season rally, winning two of its last four and covering the spread in each. An offensive surge is buoying the squad. It has put up 70 points or more in each game during the stretch, draining 10.5 3-pointers per game. The Cougars have surpassed their projected team total in each by an average of 6.8 points. Oregon is 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS when averaging 87.8 points per game (86.8 in regulation). This squad ranks second in scoring (2016) of all Altman teams, posting 79.0 points a night.

The Ducks, however, are not as explosive away from home this season, putting up just 70.8 points per game on 42.4 percent from the floor. Reaching 80 points here will be a chore. Washington State, meanwhile, has hit the 70-point threshold in its past six home games.

The Cougars will keep it closer than expected but will come up short in the end. With our NCAAB picks, take the home team with the points posted on the college basketball odds board.

Oregon State (14-14 SU, 10-16 ATS) is winless outside of Corvallis, going 0-8 SU and 2-5-1 ATS. Cold shooting plagues the team. The Beavers put up 66.4 points per game on 43.8 percent from the floor. The effort from long range is subpar, draining just 32.2 percent from behind the arc.

The Beavers' poor showing in Pac-12 road play is nothing new. One has to go back to February 2016 to uncover the last time they won away from home, topping UCLA 86-82 as 6.5-point underdogs. Behind coach Wayne Tinkle, in fact, the Beavers are 3-31 SU and 11-22-1 ATS all-time in road conference games.

Washington (19-10 SU, 14-12 ATS) sits seventh in the Pac-12 standings, but still has a shot to finish in the top four and claim a first-round bye in the tournament. They need a ton of help from others, but have to win their final two games to stand a chance nonetheless. Motivation is abound.

The Huskies are a perfect 12-0 SU (5-5 ATS) this season against opponents with an RPI greater than 100; the Beavers have a 160 ranking. Defense dominates for Washington in this spot, holding opponents to 66.3 points per game on 41.4-percent shooting. The "under" is 8-2 overall, a 145.6 final score staying 11.9 points south of a 153.3 average total. The "over/under" is a tad too tight here, but the spread is ripe for profit with our NCAAB picks. Lay the points on the college hoops odds board, as Washington tops the number with a 75-69 victory.
