Amile Jefferson, Grayson Allen and Duke should be able to score a little easier than Donovan Mitchell, Quentin Snider and Louisville in their Quarterfinals showdown at the Barclays Center on Thursday, but who knows how Blue Devils Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski approaches this Quarterfinals matchup against the physical Cardinals with his healing roster. Let’s handicap and make a pick on a tough game in which oddsmakers have opened Louisville as slim 1-point favorites.

Duke vs. Louisville

The second Quarterfinals matchup will see Amile Jefferson #6 and seed Duke (+1258 to win NCAA championship, at Bookmaker) facing Mangkok Mathiang, Quentin Snider and Deng Adel and Louisville. The Cardinals won the Regular Season meeting at the KFC Yum! Center, 78-69, covering as 3½-point favorites in a meeting which trickled Over the Total by ½ point (146½), preventing a fourth straight Under in the newfound series and ACC budding rivalry.

Luke Kennard, Matt Jones and the Blue Devils Duke (12-18-1 ATS) are 1-4-1 ATS L6 overall after escaping with a near-ATS cover as 6-point underdogs to upstart Clemson in the Second Round on Wednesday. The Under is 9-3 L12 Blue Devils games as an underdog and is 5-2 the L8 Duke Neutral Site contests but the Over is 7-2 the L9 Louisville (17-11-1 ATS) games overall. WIth Duke and Coach K possibly apathetic, it’s hard to recommend a side here meaning slight lean to the Under here with the new rims, a team (Louisville) playing its first game of the week and knowing that last meeting’s Over was a product of everything going right for its bettors, down to the half-point.
