Things don't look too good for the Delaware State Hornets as they face the #9 Indiana Hoosiers in tiny Assembly Hall, where they'll be a lot of rowdy fans. Aside from the fans, the Hornets will have their hands full as they deal with one of the best teams in the country in the Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana is a massive betting favorite in this matchup.

Delaware State Hornets (3-9) vs #9 Indiana Hoosiers (8-2) A Difficult Team to Figure Out

This is an Indiana Hoosiers team which has beaten the best teams in the nation in Kentucky and North Carolina but was also upset by Indiana Fort Wayne and in their last game, the Butler Bulldogs came up with the 83-78 victory. I wouldn't consider the Butler game a major upset as Butler is a nationally ranked team. Nonetheless, the Hoosiers will be looking for a bounce-back performance and for an opponent to take out their disappointment on and Delaware State is a perfect fit!

While Delaware State likes to make frequent substitutions and that definitely helps in keeping their 5 players on the court fresh, this is not a very deep team in talent. They average just 69 points and 32 rebounds per game, Leading scorer Devin Morgan (13.8 points) is coming off of a couple of respectable efforts, but he shoots under 40% from the field and he'll be facing a major increase in level of competition as the Hoosiers are near the top. Look for Morgan to get his points, but there's a lot of holes in this Hornets offense and offensive production isn't their strength.

James Blackmon Jr.

Where Indiana is concerned, junior James Blackmon Jr. is clearly the go-to guy on this basketball team. Blackmon Jr. has been a consistent performer throughout his collegiate career at Indiana. This season, nothing has changed as Blackmon Jr. leads the Hoosiers with 17.9 points and 6 rebounds per game.

He's a 6 foot 4 guard that will get down in the trenches against bigger players and look to gain control for Indiana. Blackmon is also a very efficient shooter as he's shooting 42% from beyond the arc and his hit on 8 3-balls in his last 2 games. In the loss to Butler, Blackmon Jr. showed that he's a big money player as he delivered 26 points. Look for Blackmon Jr. to have another 20 point effort as long as he's not taken out of the game early as this game is a complete mismatch.
