The Yale Bulldogs have really excelled this season, on the court and in the classroom. While Princeton and Harvard are in their usual spots near the top of the Ivy League, Yale finds themselves just 1 game behind Princeton for the top spot in the conference. A game at home against the Dartmouth Big Green has huge implications for Yale as Dartmouth has been a big bust and going through the motions this season.

Dartmouth vs Yale

Great Team Depth

We know how great team depth has worked well for teams such as Kentucky and it also has worked well for Yale as they don't possess a big time 20 point per game scorer, but have 5 players averaging in double figures, some strong rebounding, and shooting efficiency is also a strength of the Bulldogs offense.

Miye Oni

The present and the future looks bright for the purple and white as freshman Miye Oni has had an outstanding first year at the collegiate level. He's averaging 13.2 points and 7.2 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs in both categories. In his last 2 games, Oni is averaging 20.5 points on 10 of 17 shooting from the field, 5 of 9 from 3 point territory, 8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. Oni is also as strong on the defensive end of the court as the offensive and will be a key factor in Yale's matchup against Dartmouth.

Very similar to Manhattan in our first game covered, Dartmouth has been a major disappointment and is coming off of surprising win after a 6 game losing streak. A win over Pennsylvania is one thing, but the Big Green must elevate their level of play as they're facing one of the top 2 teams in the Ivy League in Yale.

A Silver Lining

Dartmouth's poor play comes as a result of a lack of teamwork and inability to defend the boards and play defense. This is a team that average's just 34.5 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game. The one player that Yale will need to focus on is forward Evan Bourdeaux as he's been outstanding for the Big Green.

Bourdeaux is averaging 16.5 points and 9.4 rebounds per game and has had 3 consecutive strong doubles. While Bourdeax appears to be unstoppable, he will need assistance as he's been a one man show all season long.

Bourdeaux has been a standout player, but Dartmouth has found little success in the Ivy League and this is a great spot for Yale.
