We’ll be examining the PAC-12 Tournament second round game today between Colorado and Oregon. Can Colorado spring the upset and possibly derail Oregon’s NCAA Tournament hopes? Will the Ducks continue to be red-hot? Read our betting preview article in order to have the most promising wagering edge.

Red-Hot Ducks vs. Rejuvenated Buffaloes
Colorado (16-16) takes on Oregon (23-8) in the second round of the PAC-12 Tournament on Thursday at 9:10 PM ET. According to the NCAA Basketball odds at Pinnacle, Oregon is a 3.5 point favorite, and the posted total is 140.0. In their only meeting this season, Oregon captured a 73-60 home win over Colorado, covering as a 4.5 point favorite, and that contest went under the total of 137.5.

Colorado Eyes an Upset
The #10 seed Colorado Buffaloes opened conference tournament play with a 78-71 win over #7 seed Oregon State on Wednesday at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas. Colorado shot a sizzling 50% from the field, and converted on 24 of 26 (92.3%) free throw attempts during the win. They enter today having won three of their previous four games. Prior to that four game stretch, they had lost six of seven. The Buffaloes have also seen five of their previous six games go over the total, and there was an average of 146.8 combined points scored in those contests. Colorado has shot a robust 51.1% from the field during their previous four games.

Dazzling Ducks
The #2 seed Oregon Ducks begin conference tournament play today after going 5-0 SU&ATS in their last five regular season games. As a matter of fact, the Ducks have gone 9-1 in the last ten, and 18-5 in their previous twenty-three games. Oregon has been very good defensively during their current five game win streak, allowing opponents just 63.8 points per contest, and holding them to 39.8% shooting from the field. The Ducks get to the free throw line on an average of just 17 times per game. However, they convert on a superb 75.4% of their attempts, and in their regular season win over Colorado the Ducks went to the charity stripe on 26 occasions.

Final Analysis
I fully realize that Colorado endured injury issues which attributed to a rather disappointing season up to this point. The problem entering today is that they will be facing a red-hot opponent (Oregon) looking to solidify an NCAA Tournament bid. I like the more consistent team in this matchup, with a lot more to play for, as one of my NCAA Basketball picks on Thursday.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Oregon -3.5 over Colorado at Pinnacle.
