In our review of Wednesday underdogs that would have the capacity to cover spreads, we have two particularly interesting battles that will be on everyone's radar for their NCAAB picks.

College Basketball: Hump Day (Under)Dogs

Last week we split a pair in our NCAAB picks, but we are still having a tremendous season on this day of the week at 16-8 (66.6 percent) and we will now go for our fifth sweep. One matchup is in the ACC, where the second-best team in the conference -- at least by the record -- is a road underdog against a bubble team that desperately needs a victory. The other confrontation is in the Mountain West, where first place is on the line.

Tigers Have Enough in the Tank for Upset

Clemson (20-4, 13-7-1 ATS) is in second place in the ACC and was released as a three-seed by the NCAA Tournament committee this past week. For tonight's matchup at Florida State, the college basketball odds board has the Tigers as 4.5-point road underdogs. All three of Clemson's conference losses have come on the road, but all were against high-quality or dangerous squads such as No. 1 Virginia, North Carolina (where Clemson never wins) and N.C. State.

Florida State (17-8, 13-8-2 ATS) is capable of distinguished performances but is just as likely to disappoint. The Seminoles have lost three of four and are staring at an NIT bid unless they turn their season around. Taking down a top team would help Florida State's case, however their shot-making skills are off and 11th-ranked Clemson allows only a 41.1-percent conversion rate.

Normally, this is where we wonder about Clemson's mental toughness, but not this time. After losing second-leading scorer and rebounder Donte Grantham to injury, the Tigers did not waiver. And even an embarrassing 61-36 demolition at Virginia did not crumble this crew, which has gone on to win four in a row. Watch Clemson cover and possibly win in Tallahassee.

Nevada Bounces Boise State on their Home Court

This past week, more than one of these so-called bracket geniuses stated the Mountain West is a one-entry league. If you have seen Nevada (21-5, 12-12-1 ATS) or Boise State (20-5, 13-11 ATS) play, you understand they are every bit as deserving or more of a bid as reported bubble teams such as Arkansas, Syracuse or Oregon.

The Wolf Pack just landed in Boise and the first stop was to Taco Bell Arena to get shots up! #BattleBorn

Nevada (10-2 in MWC) has lost two of its past four contests. One was a double-OT loss at Wyoming by a point and the other was against UNLV without leading scorer Caleb Martin. The Wolf Pack are back at full strength and are two-point road underdogs on tonight's college hoops odds board. The Broncos are 10-3 in the MWC and a perfect 13-0 at Taco Bell Arena (7-5 ATS).

When breaking this game down by the numbers, the teams are nearly even in every category. Oddsmakers are telling us Nevada is the slightly stronger team, with the Broncos not even four-point favorites at home. The Wolf Pack have a quickness edge, and with a total at 150.5, Boise State is 0-7 ATS at home when the total is 150 to 154.5 the past three seasons.
