NCAAB Picks: Cincinnati (21) vs. Rutgers
Some of the NCAAB Odds are worth a look and some are not.
In tonight’s game, the Bearcats are -4 road favorites, with a total of 128 points. Will Cincinnati continue their cold streak against Big East opponents, or will they start an uphill climb towards some of their other, more advanced conference foes?
Big East blunders
Not to mention all the conference realignment in the Big East right now, which will eventually screw over Men’s college basketball as we know it, the Bearcats have twice as many conference losses as they do wins this season, and that has to change if they plan on staying in the Top 25 and getting an at large bid.
The Big East seems like it will come down to either Syracuse of Louisville this season, but the Bearcats are one of many Big East teams that will be good and give either of those two a run for their money.
However, the Bearcats have to start winning conference games. One of those teams in the Big East that could do it is Notre Dame, who gave the Bearcats their second straight conference loss this past Monday. Notre Dame and St. Johns both beat the Bearcats already this season, and the loss to Notre Dame was at home.
Rutgers looking for another big win
After getting blown out by Syracuse on the road, Rutgers responded by beating then # 24 Pittsburgh at home 67-62 last Saturday. This Saturday, the Scarlet Knights have another shot at a home upset, as they welcome in Cincinnati. And we have a shot at making a bit of cash with our sports picks on this one.
Rutgers has a tough stretch of games coming up, but there are some games against Top 25 opponents that can be won. Including tonight’s game against Cincinnati, the Scarlet Knights have 15 games remaining on their regular seasons schedule, and six of them are against current Top 25 teams in the conference.
If they can get a win against Cincinnati and maybe one against Georgetown, barring any bad losses, the Scarlet Knights could get an at large bid this season. They have come a long way since their opening night loss to St. Peters, and have been coming together as a team, with only three losses on the season, one of which was of course to Syracuse.
If there is a line on the game, we should have the betting odds in here!
The Sharp Pick
I’m going a bit of a different route with this one, and I’m staying away from the spread. I think this game will be very close this evening, but I do see some value in the total of 128.
Both Rutgers and Cincinnati can score, and currently, BetOnline has the total out this morning at 128. I’m not sure why that is, but I’m taking it, as I see both of these teams in the 70s tonight. Take the over and add it to your college basketball picks for Saturday.
My Pick: OVER 128 at BetOnline
