Chalk was the right NCAA basketball pick for all four first-round games at the Pac-12 tourney. Things might not go quite as smoothly during Thursday's second-round action.

Jason's 2015-16 record as of Mar. 9: 12-10 ATS, 1-2 Totals

Just like that, we're down to eight teams at the Pac-12 men's basketball tournament. It was a clean sweep for the favorites in Wednesday's first round; we had three of them in our NCAA basketball picks here at the home office. And there was much rejoicing. Now let's see what we can do about Thursday's second-round games at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

No. 1 Oregon Ducks vs. No. 9 Washington Huskies (3:00 p.m. ET)
After crushing the Stanford Cardinal 91-88 as 3-point faves, the Huskies (18-13 SU, 17-12 ATS) opened as 7-point puppies against the Ducks (25-6 SU, 17-11 ATS). There could be some betting value fading the regular-season Pac-12 champs; Sports-Reference has them raked third in the Pac-12 at +17.1 on the Simple Rating System, with Washington just 5.4 points behind at +11.7 SRS. Having said that, the Ducks beat the Huskies 86-73 last month as 11-point home faves, so make it a small bet.

No. 4 Arizona Wildcats vs. No. 5 Colorado Buffaloes (5:30 p.m. ET)
We're still waiting for the first lines to hit our NCAA basketball odds board, but Arizona (24-7 SU, 16-15 ATS) has opened as a 9-point favorite on the Strip, so let's roll with that. The guys at S-R have the 'Cats at +20.0 SRS and Colorado at +12.2 SRS. The Buffaloes (22-10 SU, 18-11 ATS) destroyed the Washington State Huskies 80-56 in the first round as 9.5-point favorites, and last month, they upset Arizona 75-72 as 5.5-point home dogs. Buffs, please.

No. 2 Utah Runnin' Utes vs. No. 7 USC Trojans (9:00 p.m. ET)
Throw it down, big man~! The Trojans (21-11 SU, 18-13-1 ATS) had little trouble putting away the UCLA Bruins 95-71 as 2-point faves. Next up: the Utes (24-7 SU, 14-14-1 ATS), who opened as 6.5-point favorites in Vegas for this matchup. Surely that's too many points; Utah (+17.4 SRS) and USC (+13.7 SRS) aren't that far apart. The Utes did win their regular-season tilt 80-69 as 1.5-point road dogs – again, a smaller bet would be prudent.

No. 3 California Golden Bears vs. No. 6 Oregon State Beavers (11:30 p.m. ET)
Oregon State (19-11 SU, 16-13 ATS) was the only pick we muffed in the opening round; they beat the Arizona State Sun Devils 75-66 as 4-point faves to set up Thursday's tilt with Cal (22-9 SU, 18-13 ATS). No lines available yet as we go to press, but there's a 5.6-point gap between the Bears (+16.6 SRS) and the Beavers (+11.0 SRS) over at S-R, and we presume freshman forward Tres Tinkle (20.8 PER, +5.6 BPM) remains out for OSU with a foot injury.
