Yale at Princeton (-3) 7:00 PM EST
The Yale Eli travel to Princeton, NJ to face the Tigers at venerable Jadwin Gym for this 7 o’clock eastern tip. Yale currently leads the Ivy League with a record of 8-0 SU, 6-2 ATS. Princeton is at 6-1 SU, 5-2 ATS with their lone loss coming in their meeting at the John J Lee Amphitheater in New Haven by a score of 79-75.

Expected to claim the Ivy crown after a 22-10 SU season of last in which strange circumstances of events resulted in the title going to Harvard, Yale enters today on a 12 game winning streak. They have breezed through the league, dominating on most nights. In the lone game where they were tested, these Princeton Tigers gave them all they could handle in the January 30th loss. In a league where guard play is so critical, Yale is led by the tandem of interior players Justin Sears, arguably the best player in the league, and Brandon Sherrod, who at one point in the season converted 29 consecutive field goal attempts. Freshman PG Makai Mason is the necessary glue that veteran HC Jones needed to make the whole thing work. If Yale is to emerge with the title, these three key parts must remain healthy.

Princeton is clearly their closest challenger, if for no other reason than the results from last Saturday night. With under 30 seconds to go, the Tigers trailed Columbia at Levien by 6 points. A trio of Tiger triples sandwiched around a trio of Columbia foul shots sent the game to OT. Columbia started the extra frame with a 7-0 burst, before Princeton closed the contest WITH 12 CONSECUTIVE POINTS TO NOT ONLY STEAL THE VICTORY, BUT TO COVER AS 3 POINT ROAD CHALK. Now the Tigers must use that momentum on an undefeated home court where they are 8-0 SU if they are to remain in contention for the Ivy crown (remember, Yale must still play at Columbia). The Tigers have a four pronged attack of Caruso, Cannady, Weisz, and Cook, who each average double digits. They enter with a four game winning streak, and the confidence to get this win on their strong court.

In a game that may ultimately decide the league title of the Elite 8, I invite you to put the NCAA basketball odds board in your favor and join me with my NCAA Basketball Picks on the Princeton Tigers, minus the points, on their undefeated home court with revenge.
