The Bruins, despite two straight losses, are favored by an overwhelming margin for tonight's showdown with Oregon State. What's the best NCAA basketball pick?

Odds Overview

As of now UCLA is favored by either 12.5 or 13 points at most of the top sportsbooks, which is no surprise since they're at home and have been better than the Beavers in practically every important statistical category this season. The total has opened at a high number of 150.5.

UCLA enters this game at 21-7 SU and 17-10 ATS, with Oregon State at 15-12 SU and 12-11-1 ATS.

Oregon State Beavers

The Beavers have been rather disappointing overall (7-8 SU) in conference play, but they have managed to win two of their last three.

First they took care of Washington State in a 68-57 victory, two nights before getting humiliated by Washington in a 62-86 loss at home. Oregon State was favored by 5.5 points coming into that game but completely laid a dud.

On Thursday though, the Beavers bounced back to beat USC 76-66 on the road in a game that was essentially a pick'em in the NCAA basketball odds.

Oregon State was dominant on the glass and shot 53.2 percent from the floor while holding USC to 37.3 percent. Roberto Nelson, Angust Brandt, Langston Morris-Walker and Devon Collier all scored in double digits, with Eric Moreland grabbing 14 rebounds to go with seven points, three blocks and two steals.

Despite beating the Trojans the other day, the Beavers have struggled on the road, losing four of their last five (2-3 ATS) straight up. On the season they're 6-7 ATS in 13 combined matchups on the road and on neutral courts.

UCLA Bruins

The Bruins have followed up a four-game winning streak by losing consecutive games at Stanford (74-83) and then at home to Oregon (83-87).

With Kyle Anderson and Jordan Adams both out due to suspensions, UCLA fought tooth and nail to overcome the Ducks on their home court. It was never going to be easy without their two best players and ultimately the Bruins couldn't get it done.

Bryce Alford stepped up with the added responsibility and scored a game-high 31 points on 7-of-17 shooting while adding six assists. Zach Lavine (18/8/5) and Norman Powell (14/6) also had solid outings in the loss.

The good news? Anderson and Adams are both expected to return for tonight's game. Considering Adams is averaging 17.2 PPG and 5.2 RPG and Anderson has been one of the most versatile players in the country at 14.9 PPG, 8.6 RPG and 6.9 APG, getting them back is a welcome boost for Steve Alford.

Playing at home should also inspire confidence for UCLA fans. The Bruins have been excellent inside Pauley Pavilion, losing just two games in all, and will like their chances of another victory tonight.

College Basketball Pick

Oregon State actually won the first head-to-head meeting straight up, cashing easily for backers as five-point underdogs in the NCAA basketball odds. Kyle Anderson was the only Bruin to score in double figures.

Tonight we believe UCLA will get their revenge in style, as we see them pulling away and making this very one-sided when everything's said and done.

The Bruins are a very profitable 11-5 ATS in their own gym this season and we see them adding another victory to that tally against Oregon State. This sets up as a great spot for UCLA to redeem themselves after two straight losses.

Pick: UCLA Bruins -12.5
