Louisville will be playing back-to-back games away from the KFC Yum! Center for the first time this season, which makes Boston College dangerous home underdogs Wednesday.

Fallen Into a Pattern
Louisville has alternated wins and losses over its last five games, which is important to consider when looking over the NCAA basketball odds lines, but its two losses over that stretch have come against Duke and North Carolina.

The Cardinals are capable of putting together a long winning streak if their offense builds off its last performance—shooting a season-high 65.2 percent from the floor in a 80-68 victory over Pittsburgh as six-point road favorites Sunday.

All eyes should be focused on Terry Rozier in this matchup, as he’s averaged 24.2 points in six road or neutral site contests.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 14-7 SU and 8-13 ATS in January.

A Tall Task
Boston College hasn’t won back-to-back games since putting together a four-game win streak from Dec. 1-14, which can’t be ignored when making your NCAA basketball picks, as it has dropped its two meetings against ranked opponents by an average of 19 points.

The Eagles hold a 3-2 lead in five all-time meetings against the Cardinals, but the last occurrence took place in 1996.

Sports bettors will find that the team has compiled a forgettable 2-22 SU record in its last 24 games versus top-25 opponents, while dropping 12 of its last 13 contests as home underdogs of 9.5 to 12 points.

Road Work
The Cardinals have put together an impressive 47-26 SU record on the road in conference play the last nine seasons, as they prepare to play consecutive games away from home for the first time in 2014-15.

Louisville is outscoring opponents by an average of 7.2 points on the road this year—made possible by shooting 50.5 percent from the floor and 73.9 percent from the charity stripe.

Floor General
Eagles guard Olivier Hanlan needs to build off his 25-point performance in securing a 64-62 victory over Georgia Tech as 4.5-point road underdogs Sunday, as he managed to knock down 4 of 5 shots from beyond the arc.

Hanlan has ownership of the ball 28.8 percent of the time while on the floor for Boston College, which is important to handicap given the fact that Louisville causes opponents to turn it over on 24.2 percent of their possessions.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Eagles as one of their NCAAB selections, as they’ve gone 8-4 ATS as underdogs this season, while the Cardinals are 5-10-1 ATS as favorites.
