Having barely survived Round 1, the No. 8 Arizona State Sun Devils are massive second-round underdogs to the No. 1 Oregon Ducks on Thursday’s NCAAB odds board.

Arizona State Sun Devils vs Oregon Ducks

Well, so much for the Stanford Cardinal. They almost came back to beat the No. 8 Arizona State Sun Devils in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament, but Arizona dominated overtime and won 98-88 as 4.5-point underdogs on the college basketball odds board. At least we had the Cardinal at a bargain price.

Now the Sun Devils (15-17 SU, 15-14-2 ATS) have to prepare for the top seeds in the Pac-12 tourney, the Oregon Ducks (27-4 SU, 18-12 ATS). When they met in the regular season, Arizona State almost pulled off the unthinkable but ended up losing 71-70 as 17.5-point road dogs. That close shave should help the Ducks stay focused for Thursday’s rematch (3:00 p.m. ET, PAC12).

But we’re not convinced Oregon is the right NCAA Basketball pick this time, either. They’re No. 5 on the AP poll, but they’re only No. 17 on Ken Pomeroy’s efficiency charts for Division I. Let’s see if ASU can pull out another one ATS.
