By all accounts, Friday should be a great day for us. For today, we enter with the momentum of 2-0 ATS on NCAA basketball picks as WVU and Virginia Big 12 clash.

Oklahoma vs. West Virginia 9:30PM ET
Top 10 teams, WVU and Oklahoma, meet at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO for this Big 12 Conference Semi-Final matchup of the CCT. Each is firmly entrenched in the NCAA selection process. But, there will be plenty of pride on the line tonight.  In earlier meetings this season, Oklahoma prevailed over WVU by a score of (70-68) in Norman on January 16th, as well as in the rematch in Morgantown on February 20th by a score of (76-63). Fundamentals suggest that might be a bit unusual, as the Sooners turn the ball over nearly 13 times per contest, playing right into the hands of a pressing WVU defense. But, the good shooting of Oklahoma and their veteran guard play created the difference.

Betting Preview
In his 9th season at the helm of his alma mater, HC Huggins has his Mountaineers on a 4-season uptick. In recent seasons, they have gone from 13 to 17 to 25 wins last year, including a Sweet 16 appearance. Last night’s 20 point cruise over outmanned TCU matched those 25 victories with more to come. At last Huggins has a roster that is deep, hard-working and athletic. The premise is to turn 18 TOs per game into baskets on the offensive end. With a 25-7 SU record and 5 consecutive victories, it has clearly worked to their advantage. The question, which will soon be answered, is whether they can double avenge Oklahoma?

On January 4th, Oklahoma entered their Big 12 contest vs. Kansas at 12-0 SU for the season. In a game that many considered to be the best college basketball game of the season, the Sooners lost a (109-106) triple OT decision. That showing, nonetheless, perpetuated the discussion that the Sooners may be the best team in the land. That thinking had already seeped into the betting line, following Oklahoma’s 9-0 SU, 6-1 ATS start to the season. Since that time, Oklahoma is just 16-6 SU and with last night’s narrow pointspread failure, in their 3 point victory over Iowa St., they are now just 6-16 ATS of late.  5th year HC Lon Kruger, however, has succeeded at every stop, including Florida, UNLV, Illinois and now Oklahoma, where he annually guides his teams to the NCAA Tourney.

While most of the public knee-jerks to the double revenge concept that is WVU, we comfortably step in with Oklahoma, knowing that is a better than 67% opportunity to go against greater than .700 teams, who are playing with double revenge in the CCTs. I invite you to put the NCAA basketball odds in your favor and join me in my NCAA basketball pick on Oklahoma tonight.
